i loved it me. I think they represent the characters personalities so much better in the film. You get the feeling that you really like the characters and can relate to them. I love you m.knight shamalamamalsaa

The movie is not canon with the show, it is a re-imagining. liking one thing shouldn't stop you liking another.

I've seen the last airbender series, but not korra. I haven't seen the movie, but the series being better doesn't make the movie bad. Is harry potter shit because i liked lord of the rings more?

I know, my point isn't about the quality of the film, i haven't even seen it. But rather about the fact that a series being better than a film doesn't mean the film is now shit. It simply means that the series is better.
It is stupid to stop liking a movie you clearly really liked because the series is better.

The movie is not only bad, but ruins a ton of peoples opinion for the show. They think it's basically the same thing, and never give it a chance, or a look, where as the show makes the movie look like what it was - A HORRIBLE remake, trying to rush a good story and make the characters bland, and the whole damn story horrid. It's as if the person giving shamalamadingdong facts watched one episode, and looked up the rest on the wiki. If they even DID research.
- My reaction to how BADLY they screwed this up, I feel as if I owe a friend of mine my life for him forcing me to not see it, and telling me how bad it was.

I'm confused, aren't movies and tv shows normally rated out of a total of 5 stars, so did you teacher originally like it and you hate it or is it the other way around?

Watched the show or not, it is an incredibly painful film anyway. I should think a film teacher, or anyone with any knowledge of film would see the film is badly acted, filled with ludicrous exposition, dull, nonsensical, really lazily written and just plain awful.
It isn't simply bad in comparison to the show, it is bad as a stand alone film.

Yeah well, if you've never seen the cartoon, the movies would seem alright, wouldn't they?
