church and religion i can go either way but this frivolous spending on a space program that is funded by my tax dollars to multi billion dollar companies to send a robot to a planet we have already been to i don't know like seven times i think and have found no useful reason to be there that is compleat bull shit. Have Lear and Boeing fund these projects and give them a tax break on them and it would make a hell of a lot more sense
and as far as the money (going back into the economy) its to the richer and watch the poor get poorer paying the damn taxes to foot it
Im just sayin

all im trying to say is im not against spending money to further a good of the nation
but blowing it on something that is not only going to prosper big businesses yet take a way government aid to the "needy" and i emphasize that word (not lazy and greedy individuals that like to work the system because my ancestors owned there ancestors and made the work for free ,come on its been like 150 years) yes getting rid of the space program would kill jobs but honestly the people that work those jobs are actually employed by big companies such as Boeing and Lear.

Rich people pay a higher % on taxes. Meaning more money is given to the country, lowering the debt. Furthermore the Govt. now has more money to spend which means higher GDP. As government purchases go up, production also goes up, as does employment. As employment goes up, so does disposable income, which means consumption, investment and savings also go up. Which means better interest rates and companies can purchase more capital. More capital means higher marginal labor value, which means the demand for labor goes up. This means higher employment once again and it enters that loop until however much was paid in taxes by the rich people is multiplied by 1/1-MPC where MPC = Marginal Propensity to Consume, which in the US is .8. That means 1/1-.8 = 5. So whatever the rich people pay in taxes gets multiplied by 5 and is added to our GDP. Which is often considered the best evaluation of a countries economy. I could go on. It's a positive thing trust me. Sometimes the Government makes up bullshit work just to increase employment. Like they could build an necessary bridge just to spruce up employment (construction workers).

Spending money has nothing to do with GDP. GDP is the Gross Domestic Product, meaning production, not spending. Spending isn't good for the economy in the long run. It's pumping fake money into the country, devaluing the dollar and simultaneously raising the National Debt. Your taxes go to the Fed not the country by the way.

I didn't even read this whole thing before... dude you are retarded. Everything you said is incorrect in every way possible. Production is measured in dollars. The only way something can have a dollar value is if a certain amount is spent to purchase it. That's how production is measured, by how much is spent on the production AKA no spending means no production. "Fake money"??? Dude seriously? If us spending on our products isn't real money, then what the fuck is? Furthermore, Government spending = Taxes (look it up I have nothing else to say to that buffoonery). You should not be allowed to vote. I hope you and everyone who believes in anything you just said gets shot in the dick.

Hold on where do you work? what do you do for a living? do you even pay into taxes other than FICA? i dont, and the farther up the line you go the larger a percentage you have to pay into taxes which fund projects not only like this, but our school systems, and infrastructer, most of america gets its money back from taxes most of us dont actually pay into keeping our nation stable, yet you want to bitch? you talk about how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer but im betting you get 99% of what you contribute to the government programs back? how exactly do you help the poor? I donate money out of my paycheck every week to charity, I work for price chopper, i pay nothing in the way of taxes because of the rebate, so i choose to help others rather than sit and bitch living off welfare complaining about how those who work hard should pay more, quite your whining and work harder if you want to get ahead in life (i await my red thumbs from the lazy and the TL:DR)

theoretically, they pay a higher percentage of their income, but there are so many loopholes that are built into the system just for rich people. i'm not complaining because billionaire taxes make up the majority of government revenue. it's fair, just not as fair as it should be.
