holy shit, are songs seriously up to $2 now?
User avatar #63 to #62 - thegirlyoudespise (08/07/2012) [-]
Yea, depending on the popularity. Less popular ones are .99 cents. Even less popular ones are .69 cents. Hell, i even saw some christian songs on there for free.
User avatar #64 to #63 - DrBobsPatient (08/07/2012) [-]
why were you browsing christian songs?

I try to maintain that all the time. I believe that its better trying to make someones day and succeeding once in awhile than constantly being a prick.

Yea me too. I only am a bitch when i feel it is necessary.

Radiohead: Made an album and put it for sale at any price you wish to pay

Thats what I call making music for the sake of music and not money.
User avatar #112 to #41 - rossdabigboss (08/07/2012) [-]
have you heard about the whole thing with radiohead and the number ten? pretty cool
User avatar #84 to #41 - trifectadefect (08/07/2012) [-]
That's easy to do when the band is big and can afford it.
But for starting bands it's different and it's better to support them with money, even if they're not for the money.
User avatar #49 to #41 - smittdawg (08/07/2012) [-]
In Rainbows is an amazing album, my personal favorite Radiohead album.

blessd for not knowing.

It's a Katy Perry song, she sings about how she doesn't want money.

It's kind of funny how despite the outlandish outfits these pop acts wear, they'll still look alike.
#57 to #42 - dollahbill **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
Yeah, I was just thinking that lol.

At first sight I mistook Katy Perry for Lady Gaga at the award show that she wore that big yellow block on her head.

Because honestly who else would wear something that fucking stupid. -___-
User avatar #60 to #57 - akkere ONLINE (08/07/2012) [-]
I don't know, I used to think Lady Gaga's whole dress-up scheme was some attempt at symbolism, so I figured it was respectable.

And then she put on that fucking meat dress.

>the band gets maybe 5 cents at the most if they're lucky from album sales

MFW I still buy CD's.

I could easily download it for free, in-fact I download a lot of music for free because I don't want to own the entire album for one song.

I mainly still buy CD's to support the bands that I want to see more of.
User avatar #92 to #44 - fivebecomesfour **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
Hate to break the ice to you, but when you buy a CD you're only giving the label money not the band. Going to shows is probably your best bet if you want to support them.
#101 to #92 - dollahbill **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
record sells also reflect on the band though.

I.E If nobody buys their cd's their estimated sales will take a dive, especially if they judge how much people will purchase concert tickets based on how many people buy their CD's.
#35 to #32 - N. Korean citizen (08/07/2012) [-]

User avatar #39 to #35 - mistressluna (08/07/2012) [-]

I download certain things, but I feel guilty...when I get the money, I'm going to buy the vinyl to make up for it...
#46 to #39 - N. Korean citizen (08/07/2012) [-]
Doesn't mean you have to keep doing it constantly if you have no reason other than simply not having any money to buy it.

I mean some artists clearly don't need the money, like Metallica or some other pre-established groups, but there's artists that should still receive some kind of merit for their work if it's good enough.
Piracy is something to be used, not abused.

all in all anyone who is too afraid to try and download music online. I know at that young age kids still think that the cops are going to bust down there door the second the song is downloaded.

Heroism or Bloodlust?
#61 to #55 - dollahbill **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
Haven't played in the longest time.

Played a shaman pre-bc and hit High Warlord, then leveled up a Warlock and hit legionaire. Then made my Warlock my main in TBC and sold the account for 400$ around the time Illidan became available.

Came back pre - wotlk and leveled a warrior and hit 2100 arena rating then whe WotLK came out I leveled a Death Knight to 85 and raided end-game with him.

Back when I played my shammy though it was bloodlust. Tauren shaman were the shit.

Gonna start playing again though, thinking of either leveling a rogue or releveling my warrior. Allways wanted a rogue so maybe both -_-
User avatar #91 to #61 - nurucio (08/07/2012) [-]
By that I meant Heroism (Alliance) or Bloodlust(Horde), lol. I call it both because I play both. I have 13 85s.
#104 to #91 - dollahbill **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
yeah, It took me a minute to remember what you were talking about, I completely forgot Drenei had heroism and not bloodlust.

User avatar #117 to #104 - nurucio (08/07/2012) [-]
It's funny, my boyfriend faction changed with me and switched to my old server when I went back to ally, he went draenei with his shammy and said "It's bloodlust. I will not respond to heroism. EVER." When I was horde I called it hero, when I was ally I called it lust, I'm a faction confused shaman XD
#262 to #117 - dollahbill **User deleted account** (08/07/2012) [-]
Don't worry, back when I used to PvP every day as my shaman on a Arathi Basin farm team, they used to clown me all of the time, because I had to stay resto to raid... but when I wanted to PvP I wanted to do dmg, so they eventually started calling me the resto speced dps shammy -.-

Actually back then, it was doable - I used to outdps the rogues, locks, and mages just because of how overpowered Windfury was back then, mixed with the best end game raiding dps gear available -__________-

I would never buy any music from their store, though. They ask for too much, and take a fairly big cut out of the artist's income for their music..
