Point taken but I have two things to say. Firstly, there are always going to be idiots everywhere. If anything, that thought should cheer you up because with rising numbers of idiots, those who aren't utter dolts will have a higher chance of succeeding in life. In so far as your second idea goes, I only hear complaints and wailing from US citizens on the Internet (most of the time). I myself am Russian and I can confirm that life here has never really been fantastic, which can be attributed to the corruption in the government as opposed to the 'degradation of our youth'.

Hmm... I kinda agree with you. I'm 22 but there's two sides of the fence here. You fear for the next generation of kids and I used to think that. But take a look in the history books. the 60's, 70's, and the 80's. People feared how kids from those generations would be. They all obviously grew up pretty well, some are running the country now! Younger people make alot of mistakes.

Also, kids aren't really "uncultured", the culture they are into today is what you see as unacceptable. The TV shows, music, lifestyle. EVERY generation for the past 40-50 years has had trends that t he older people hated. Look back to even the 20's, the cheesy music of then was extreme music that people seen as too raunchy/sexual. The 60's, some people thought the Beatles were satanic. But listen to some of the metal music of today!

Have a little faith in humanity, people grow up, get educated, and realize what's right/wrong. Also don't judge society because of what you see on the internet, especially places like FJ. If I didn't know better most people (including myself) come here to vent and let the stresses away for the day. People are going to joke about the wrong stuff here.
