User avatar #40 to #13 - Chuckaholic (07/29/2012) [-]
I thought it was just Democratic peoples republic of Korea, DPRK.

you sir are correct
User avatar #15 to #13 - angelojuusan (07/29/2012) [-]
And except for North Korea, that whole sentence is a lie.
User avatar #7 - whitcher (07/28/2012) [-]
I was expecting South Korea to accidentally display North Koreas flag again.
User avatar #10 to #7 - Xaponz (07/29/2012) [-]
when did they do that?
User avatar #11 to #10 - whitcher (07/29/2012) [-]
Football game I think.
#38 to #11 - jikill (07/29/2012) [-]
Actually the game coordinators stupidly posted the south korean flag with the north korean women's names on it for a football(soccer) game. North Korea refused to play until it was fixed.

I don“t get how can north koreans be in the Olympics and still be acting like nothing is going on.
User avatar #133 to #1 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (07/29/2012) [-]
Saudi Arabians are there too, and they even have women competing for them. Which I find slightly ironic.
User avatar #134 to #133 - lusir (07/29/2012) [-]
I bet they brought woman there because they did not want to look like dicks in front of the whole world
User avatar #135 to #134 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (07/29/2012) [-]
As the other guy said, politics can not be a part of the Olympics. If they tried to stop women competing, they'd probably be disqualified and they would NEVER GET ETERNAL GLORY.

Exactly.

They are also damn underdeveloped in that country. How the heck are they not 'curious' about all the new stuff that they see?
#9 to #2 - ushuaia (07/29/2012) [-]
Just because they live in an undeveloped contry doesn't mean they don't know what a computer is. They know all that stuff, they have it and see.
For example, do you know what a Ferrari is? Yes, you do. That doesn't mean you have one
In North Korea they know what things are, just because few of them have it doesn't mean it's new to them
User avatar #3 to #2 - lusir (07/28/2012) [-]
well I disagree with that...they might seem like 3rd world country but I am pretty sure that the leader takes good care of the sportsmen and wants them be better than as they say "west".
User avatar #4 to #3 - longtimeago (07/28/2012) [-]
But I mean in terms of technology gadgets wise, tv wise, computers, etc. The dictator wants no one to become 'smarterer' than him, or that life outside N-Korea is simply 'better'.

They still live there like we lived 20-30 years ago.
#5 to #4 - N. Korean citizen (07/28/2012) [-]
Yep, if you live in North Korea you probably don't have the luxury that those of capitalist countries do. Also it must be a bitch trying to drive anywhere at night.
