this is animal cruelty. laxatives lead to diahrrea and dehydration, if the animal has enough human-strength laxative they can shit so much they can't replenish fluids and will die of cardiac arrest. also the laxative strips away mucous on the inside of the intestines and can cause infections. also the animal will be in severe pain with cramping, fainting, blurred vision, and kidney trouble or failure. this isn't funny at all. sorry to be "that guy" who has to say this.

Seagulls have a high metabolism too. As you see the effect is very quick. The laxatives would leave their system before dehydration would take effect. And any loss of nutrition is not an issue, as seagulls thrive on human food so much they can easily eat it again.
In either case however, it is not going to matter in the end whether or not laxatives are extremely harmful. People are going to watch this video and do it.

i don't know if you know about this, but a lot of them are going to die actually, i still remember when some kids did this to a monkey in a local zoo, they fed him something with laxative, which caused him serious diarrhea, leading to dehydration. and he died in a week or so.
