And just a side note, I don't know if it's just a thing around here, but when people "from Detroit" say that they're from Detroit, they usually mean surrounding areas. If someone is literally from Detroit, they almost always specify which intersection they're near . I'm from a city called Inkster near the border of Detroit. The closest area to me I'd be worried about my computer getting stolen is about two miles from here.

People want to blame the collapse of Detroit on Democrats and the failure of the local industry.
Wrong.
Pittsburgh also had Democrat mayors and also saw the collapse of their primary industry. They rebounded and remade themselves into a great city.
Why?
Pittsburgh: 67% White, 22% Black.
Detroit: 85% Black, 10% White.
Pittsburgh has never had a black mayor.
Detroit has had only black mayors since '74.
Race = genes. Society and culture = gene expression. Simple as that.
And everyone will take the moral high ground in this logical argument and say that this is racist. When really Blacks ruined Detroit just like they are ruining every other majoirty black city in America. The truth is that when Whites fled Detroit because of the Black crime epidemic, the lower IQ blacks that were left behind could not even maintain the modern infrastructure never mind build it in the first place.
And yes we will repeat our mistakes i.e blaming whites for the continual failure of blacks instead of facing an uncomfortable truth.
Its the people themselves that destroy houses and neighborhoods. Ghettos dont just happen they are made by the people themselves. Put people of this low caliber in your neighborhood and it will turn into a ghetto. Then they call it racism if we point this out

The same is happening to countries throughout Europe too, the homeland of the European peoples is being overrun with niggers who do jack shit other than increase crime. But of course that's racist, of course it's also racist to mention Muslims in Europe saying things along the lines of, "European women should be raped" or that Muslims and Africans are the main cause for the crime waves, mass rapes and grooming of child prostitutes in Europe. Anyone who calls me racist is just anti-white, anti-racism is codeword for anti-white. Their mantra is, "Asia for the Asians, Africa for the Africans, white countries for everybody". More diversity just means less white people, multiculturalism won't make the global population mixed race, it will only make the populations of white countries mixed race, that's GENOCIDE. Like the anon said, majorly populated by minorities, black mayor, was once a thriving business city, but went to the shitter and has no hope.

myoldnamegotbanned (07/19/2012) [-] Brightmoor or Cass Corridor. Brightmoor is at like I-75 and W Grand Boulevard, Cass Corridor is at I-75 and Cass. A tenth of a mile makes a world of difference around here - I work a ten minute walk from Cass Corridor at a fortune 500 company. Comerica Park (where the Tigers play) is even closer.

Only real problem you'll have is the fact that over half the houses are vacant, so it might be hard to find people.

I can tell you have been living in detroit for far too long, this happens when people get this "pride" that they live in detroit. Detroit fucking sucks dude, just a bunch of black people acting hard and very few girls even in the burbs, go out west for a while and see how much u like ur shit city. The only people left in detroit are the ones that don't have the resources to leave the city and deal with a shitty low class lifestyle.

Detroit (and the surrounding area) will always be my home. Of course I feel pride in it. If you're from Detroit and don't, then shame on you.

I was just helping the guy out that in terms of street view, pretty much anywhere outside of downtown while staying within the city limits you'll be able to find or see some shady stuff, and if not you'll only be a couple of blocks away from something that is.
