Salamenceco (07/19/2012) [-] HURR DURR Mako is an asshole even though he sacrificed his childhood for Bolin to keep his, even though he's "shielded Bolin from the harsh realities of the world" and is the reason Bolin has his personality, and even though we see that he can actually be a really caring and passionate person. Yup, you're right, he's a total douche.

elise (07/19/2012) [-] i actually like both. Asami is the girl everyone wants to be like. But korra is herself, raw and plain and flawed. She makes mistakes and clumsily makes up for it, but her heart is noble and kind. Asami is so perfect it almost makes you wonder if she has some other intentions. so for the sake of certainty ( and because shes the fucking avatar ) i have to say i favour korra just a little more.

She could be considered an orphan by the end of the season, she lost her home, and her entire life basically after she met Mako.
