Less than a week before its E3 press conference next week, Microsoft today announced that more than 45 new entertainment apps are coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 around the world. Some of these include Vine, HBO Go, ShowTime Anytime, Comedy Central, Major League Gaming, and new embedded Twitter functionality, all of which are scheduled to be available by the end of 2014. Once these apps arrive, Microsoft's app catalog will increase by 25 percent to more than 225 apps in total. There are around 180 apps available now, Microsoft says on the Xbox Wire.

"Xbox fans are spending more time than ever on the console, spending more than five hours a day on Xbox One," Xbox executive Yusuf Mehdi said in a statement. "Today as we announce new commitments from dozens of our partners, including deep integration with experiences like Twitter and Vine, we hit an important milestone in our journey to deliver unique experiences on Xbox. We're thrilled to break new ground in social TV experiences like we're doing with Twitter on Xbox One."

The new Twitter functionality will be baked directly into the Xbox One's TV experience in the United States. You'll be able to see tweets related to the shows you're watching in real time, and there will also be a "Trending" section (show at left) within the OneGuide that will show the content people are most actively talking about. You can see a video above of how Twitter integration works on Xbox One.

"It will now be easier to discover what shows are trending in real-time on Twitter, tune-in, and follow the conversation right from within the Xbox One interface," Twitter VP of business development Jana Messerschmidt said. "We are excited to work with the Xbox One team and continue to deliver unique entertainment experiences.”

Below is a list of the new apps coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as the regions where you can find them.

Why do people dislike cgi so much? When you break it down, it's just advanced 3D animation.
#22668 to #22615 - baitdoesnttalkback (06/06/2014) [-]
because the best cgi still looks fake. the problem is when cgi effects take over a movie at the expense of story

like i think 300 is a good movie and the cgi helps the story in a lot of ways. but then you got the upcoming ninja turtles movie with michael bay and that shit looks terrible
User avatar #22627 to #22615 - eight (06/04/2014) [-]
No clue to be honest. If it's done poorly, it does look bad. But when its done right, it looks fantastic.

There are many that hate it no matter what for whatever reason. They're probably older and more comfortable with practical effects.

>CIA operative: "Dr Pavel, I'm CIA"
>Driver:"He wasn't alone"
>CIA operative : "Um, you don't get to bring friends"
>Dr Pavel :"they're not my friends"
That was surprisingly well written, and Aiden Gillian is great in it. It's really overshadowed by how fast it goes by.
Surprisingly good scenes thread
Bonus points if you explain what Bane was referring to when he said "for you'

"It'd be extremely painful.... for you"

User avatar #22616 to #22614 - herecomesjohnny (06/04/2014) [-]
tom hardy answered that in an AMA
the script meant "it will be painful for you"
but hardy gave it the intonation of "i'm a big guy for you"
#22648 to #22616 - lungeroy (06/05/2014) [-]
I thought it was obvious that the "for you" meant that it would be painful for CIA dude. I never thought of it any other way
User avatar #22618 to #22616 - kayzl (06/04/2014) [-]
But Bane wouldn't go out of his way to capture and torture CIA Op just because he took off his mask, they weren't equipped for that. And we know that the mask contains anaesthetic, and it would definitely be painful for Bane if it was taken of, when for you implies heavily only for CIA Op.
User avatar #22619 to #22618 - herecomesjohnny (06/04/2014) [-]
hey man it's just what hardy said

Arrow is one hell of a show, it honestly exceeded my expectations. I loved how the characters developped.
I can't wait for the Flash series.
#22621 to #22610 - lungeroy (06/04/2014) [-]
I agree, after seeing the first episode i saw every episode up to 13 in season 2 in less than 4 days
User avatar #22622 to #22621 - thegrohltroll (06/04/2014) [-]
Exactly what I did.
It's a shame that agents of shield is total crap compared to this one, after watching 10 episodes of the show I gave up on it.
#22636 to #22622 - lungeroy (06/04/2014) [-]
yeah, I fell off completely after 10-ish episodes. Think I'm going to give it another try though
User avatar #22628 to #22622 - eight (06/04/2014) [-]
Gave up too early. AOS didn't find its footing until Episode 13 T.R.A.C.K.S

From there on it's a great show. Skip 11-12 and just check out T.R.A.C.K.S, if you don't like it, you won't like anything that follows.
User avatar #22629 to #22628 - thegrohltroll (06/04/2014) [-]
I don't know man, too early? I watched three series lately and the three of them got me hooked since the first episodes.
It's a bad sign that you have to wait 10 episodes to finally get satisfied with the show.
But I'm gonna do what you said, I'll need something to watch once I'm done with Arrow
User avatar #22630 to #22629 - eight (06/04/2014) [-]
Yeah, I wasn't too fond of AOS at first either, didn't even think it would get picked up for a second season. It barely held my interest. But 13 impressed me and I enjoyed it ever since.

Are you watching The 100 or Hannibal by any chance?
User avatar #22631 to #22630 - thegrohltroll (06/04/2014) [-]
No neither, I've been thinking about watching hannibal but from what I understood is that he's a cannibal, and the idea of cannibalism makes me sick. I can watch anything on TV, but once cannibalism is involved it just repels me.
what's the 100 about?
User avatar #22632 to #22631 - eight (06/04/2014) [-]
It's a show based off the incredibly popular movies "The Silence of The Lambs", "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal".

It is about a cannibal, but you're supposed to hate him. His actions are supposed to anger and disgust you. It isn't a Breaking Bad scenario where the bad guy is a sympathetic character. Hannibal in the show is evil and a mass murdering serial killer. The FBI are trying to catch him the entire series. It's sort of cat and mouse with some really great insights into the psychology of the two main characters, Will Graham and Hannibal.

The 100 is a CW show, the same network that produces Arrow. It's about a futuristic society where the Earth has been destroyed by nuclear warfare and the last survivors have taken refuge in a enormous space station orbiting the Earth. Well, the life support systems are failing and so they send 100 teens, who were criminals aboard the ship to see if Earth is still liveable. It's sort of a survival/sci-fi show.

it's a tough choice to make.

The fact that thousands of Jedi were relentlessly slaughtered really made me think about the light adventurous tone of the Luke Trilogy and how they were oblivious to all of it.

>Blink is probably the strongest mutant in the future but isn't allowed to just zap the sentinals across the world because she asian and asian characters cant be heroes. they can only be there to fill a quota
>when i have to sit through famke janssen being a terrible jean grey for more movies
>Wolverine says "i have a friend who can break into the pentagon" isn't gambit
>apocalypse is a girl
>there was no point in breaking eric out of the pentegon
>having to sit through jennifer lawrence be a main character and play like american hustle sequel
>just stealing the idea of hulk for beast
>just stealing the idea of the lava people in iron man 3
>just stealing the robot suits thing of iron man 3
>trask says the sentinals are made of some non metallic metal. magneto controls them
>somehow a formula to supress telepathy negates a bullet to the spine
>wolverine tells the professor to remember the names scott jean, he already met scott in wolverine origins and was even in his head. jean grey was already in xmen 3 being shown as both charles and eric were at her house
>hugh jackman did nothing the whole movie except be there to sell movie tickets
>azazel dead, mystique not pregnant with nightcrawer. seriously?
>i dont know what people were saying about too many mutants to cut out rouge. as if she wouldnt of fit in. it was basically 2 groups past and future. how hard could it have been?
>no rose byrne to fap over
>mystique was supposedly some badass female leader who commanded respect. somehow decided to be erics little slave
there's more but no more room. the movie was at least consistent thoroughout in tone which was ok. but the movie was jeez

>Why does that effect how good the movie was? I agree that the power was bullshit, but it was just a way to give her something considering she should have been the main character.
>How could Blink teleport several hundred Sentinels at once
>I agree. Shes terrible
>Why would it be Gambit? If could think of any mutant it'd be besides Quicksilver, it'd be Nightcrawler. Evan Peters was a ton of fun.
>Apocalypse is a young boy
>Because Wolverine honestly thought he'd be of some assistance considering hes one of the most powerful mutants in the world
>Lawrence was good
>I agree. Bullshit. Nick Hoult just wanted his face on the screen.
>How is putting Sunspot in the movie stealing?
>How is putting the Sentinels in the move stealing?
>Magneto puts metal into the Sentinels. Theres at least a 5 minute scene of him doing so. Might not make much sense but its a comic book movie.
>Choosing this one thing to question in a movie about people who control metal, don't die, read minds, shapeshift and have super speed
>The movie takes place before Origins. Hence the bone claws.
>I agree
> Mystique breaks down the minute she sees Azazel's picture. Perhaps a reference to Nightcrawler's birth. Its been 11 years since the events of First Class, Nightcrawler was probably born years before. Mutants typically age slower than most humans.
> I agree there weren't too many mutants. I would have enjoyed seeing a few more.
> Theres Ellen Page and Jennifer Lawrence. Live with it.
>The events of the original X-Men movies are gone. She probably never ends up back with Magento in this continuity unless X1 still exists which is a possibility.

>just sayin ellen page got millions to do that
>not all at once but literally opening a portal when a sentinal got near and sending them somewhere issn't out of the question. but she's asian. and asians dont get to have a badass moment in movies instead i had to sit through everyone just sitting around.
>i agree she's terrible
>Because gambit broke out of strykers facility and wolverine would know he's a expert theif.
>it looks like a girl and im better it turns out to be a gender bending thing
>he literally offered nothing and charles knew he couldn't be trusted
>Lawrence i just cant enjoy her acting. and all i kept thinking was her role was made too big for demographic reasons instead of story
>I agree
>i was more thinking how the sentinals were always on fire but yeah they watched iron man 3 saw the lava people and thought "who do we have in the comics that look like that?"
>the future sentinals just annoyed me
>then why did he have to talk to them? "do your thing"
>Yet the bullet formula makes less sense than all that
>good point on origins, but jean grey still was met
>maybe but i saw that as a breakdown for all the mutants not just azazel
>indeed
>ellen page was only hot in hard candy and maybe that roller derby movie. jennifer lawrence is never hot

>I doubt she got millions but you could be right
>The Sentinels would eventually out number her and theres thousands of them. Doubt she'd be able to do many without getting killed.
>Horrid
>Stryker's compound doesn't exist yet . Hes just a general at this point who collects mutants for Trask therefore these no knowing where Gambit is or if he even has come into his thieving skills yet
>I doubt it is. In order to have Apocalypse you have to show the young En Sabah Nur doing something to be revered as a God
>Why would Logan trust what past Charles has to say about Magneto when future, level-headed Charles told him that he'd be needed. They thought he'd have a chance of getting through to Mystique if Charles failed.
>I like Mystique as a main character
>The we're agreed
>No. The Sentinels reacted to Iceman and Sunspot's powers therefore turned into flame. Its not like they only turned into fire.
>They're futuristic machines. I liked the new look. Makes sense that they'd be upgraded since the 70s.
>Because movies
>They mention that Charles took the same formula Beast did to supress his powers and Beast added a formula to let Charles walk. My biggest concern is that Beast created a way to make the paralyzed walk and kept it to himself and Charles.
>When? Its never stated in X3 that Magneto and Charles are still fighting the same fight. Maybe they both put aside their differences to meet an extremely powerful mutant a few years after DoFP
>It was definitely a breakdown for all mutants, Im just saying that she didn't start actually tearing up till Azazel which could be a nod.
>Yes
>I like both of them.
>Maybe she just becomes more extreme and thinks joining Magneto aggain is the best thing for mutant freedom and shit.
