Just watched first two episodes of game of thrones. The twin bro of the lannisters is a cunt and so is that jeoffrey... Fucking pricks.. It's already too good... Safe to say I'm hooked. Gonna carry on watching them tomorrow, college tomorrow. Fuck me this is a good show and I'm only two episodes in!!!

Saw Man of Steel yesterday. I understand the division, but count me in as one of those who loved it. The action dragged on in parts (the street fight especially), the computer generated imagery was over the top and I hated (as I always do) the shaking camera shots that are to make a film feel "authentic."
However, the plot and story was deep, elegant, and expertly done. I loved the snaps to his childhood here and there as events happened instead of giving all of his childhood story in the beginning. His backstory was progressively revealed as it was necessary. This, to me, was genius. Furthermore, the movie was about Clark Kent the great man. Sure, he had powers, but he grew up in a human experience. He could choose evil, he has no obligation to do good, and had no reason to even be a hero except that he liked to help. His emergence as Superman was not "Gee, I'm going to change the world, starting with NYC!" like every generic comic book movie, it was that extreme circumstances Zod has created had thrust Clark into being an extraordinary character of power because of his obligations as a righteous man.
For everyone saying "Where was the fun and humor??" I say it was a good choice to omit it. This wasn't just a thing where Snyder decided to be edgy, it was that the fun lighthearted route had been taken already and failed nearly every time in every Superman representation. With the way our culture is right now, the movie fit perfectly. In the midst of horrible circumstances and a world that is falling apart, a man gave up to mankind not because he has the power to save us, but because he has the heart and willingness to do such a thing. The extraordinary nature of Man of Steel's Superman were not his powers (which are insane and would ruin any good movie with them because if not held in check Superman has no limitations and thus no drama), but Clark Kent as a person.

Is "This is the end" REALLY that funny? It's being rated AMAZING. 8.0 on imdb. IMDB. 8.0. AS A COMEDY. That's PHENOMINAL.

just watched man of steel. now i know why so many people are divided on it. it was terrible. terrible dialouge. terrible fight scenes. terrible kevin costner. I did end up kinda liking zod as a villian though i hated the casting at first. And yes Russell Crowe as jor-el is cool like people say.

I did like that the movie was paced differently than a regular traditional movie. It felt like it was trying to surprise you. But overall too much of the characters were forced and annoying. Even superman. he tried to force too many interactions and stuff. And i don't like amy adams. sorry i dont. But as much as I hated it for not living up to a great expected movie I guess they tied things together well enough. It had characters i remember from smallville (albeit different races) but yeah i just found the whole movie boring and uninteresting.....which means it will probably make over 500 million or some crazy number because when i hate something it seems to go crazy big
