Leave sneaking and whispers to the gutter rats who can't fight for themselves.

I guess I just like sneaking behind people and killing them quickly. I've had several playthroughs up to level 50, playing as a brute, mage, thief, and a mixture of all three. I find it's easier to kill people when sneaking when you're at a low level. But everyone has their own opinions.

This was more fun yesterday, I was never debating a point I actually stand by, I was just having fun.

I have to go to bed soon, so I'll try to conitnue it, but I wont be able to comment until after work tomorrow.

Sneaking up dealing a broken amount of damage to all enemies before actual legitimate combat can start, sucks a huge portion of the fun out of the game. There's no thinking to it, there's no strategy to it, it's just crouch walking behind a person, killing them, then hiding for 5 minutes until everyone's awareness drops.
#360 to #359 - strictlypornos (07/19/2012) [-]
O I agree with you to an extent, sneaking becomes boring after level 50ish when it gets too good. The combat in skyrim is what made the game legendary, blocking and slashing your way through a barrage of enemies.

Also, I knew you were just havin fun with debating everyone, people get so butthurt over games sometimes.
User avatar #361 to #360 - graphically (07/19/2012) [-]
Yeah I know, but it's okay. I'd need 21k thumbs to get any where close to a red thumb ban. I feel I'm pretty safe to voice my opinion with out giving a fuck about thumbs at the moment.

User avatar #351 to #299 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
The thumbs from that post balanced out the negative thumbs from this post.

Honestly I'm not even judging, I just like to argue opinions I don't feel that strong about because its fun.

Sorry, I can't hear you over my 30x damage.
User avatar #332 to #20 - chosencausefuckyou (07/18/2012) [-]
As a khajit i aproove, Aura whisper + bow and arrow and a dagger. Overkill everything, that even makes you able to kill Giants at level 2.
User avatar #353 to #332 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
Thus breaking the game and make it boring as fuck.
User avatar #354 to #353 - chosencausefuckyou (07/18/2012) [-]
If i like it, i do it. I don't like getting fucked several times because i run in a group of forsvorn and shit.
User avatar #355 to #354 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
You wouldn't be getting fucked if you run in prepared, knowing how you're going to take each of them on, and what you're going to need to tank their hits. The combat is a lot more in the moment than it is when you just sneak around picking them off for an hour.
User avatar #356 to #355 - chosencausefuckyou (07/18/2012) [-]
oh so just because i have armor it automaticly makes me able to tank it, oh really? how many hits will i be able to tank? when enemy spots me i use close combat gear, i just rather damage them from a distance than take more damage than necessary.
User avatar #357 to #356 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
Having a shield makes it interesting because then you have to time your blocks, and when to do a power attack.

Also, I'm bored arguing about opinions I barely care about. Thanks for trying to keep me entertained though, but I'm going to do something else now.

i did have fun backstabbing a dragon, i have that as a permanent save on my xbox, killed him with a double sneak attack, there's also youtube vids on it, so have fun being a grilled dick slashing at a dragons face i'm sure it's oodles of fun :3
User avatar #77 to #70 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
>Grilled dick
>Implying I would ever go out to battle with out 100% fire resistance.

Elemental fury and perfect weapons ensures a kill under a couple of seconds with elemental fury shifting my attacks into maximum over drive (coupled with orc's rage both doubling my armor and dps)

Also, with the incredibly high armor rating I have from my perfectly smithed deadric heavy set, I can punch most dragons in the face to death rather quickly.

"...whatever way you want"

Also guess what?

30x damage with daggers.

PS: I prefer to kill people silently as opposed to running in screaming with a warhammer and getting raped by a gang of Forsworn

Hey man give us mages some love. Have 100 destruction, alteration and enchanting then make robes or armor to give you free destruction, alteration and whatever else you want. Then put paralyze in one hand and incinerate in the other, stun-lock everything (but dragons), ???, profit.

Wait I thought it was only 15x damage, or is that the total from sneaking and not just the one perk?
User avatar #187 to #142 - bronycurious (07/18/2012) [-]
the perk is 15 but there are plenty of gloves that give you double sneak attack damage.

Shrouded gloves = 60x damage with daggers
At least learn how to properly be a thief.

Also, Warhammer sucks, fastest DPS is with dual sword and dagger using elemental fury to speed up the power of your attacks. When your health is outrageous as mine, with max armor, and orc's rage ability, I can dive head first into an army of frost giants on master and not give a single fuck. While you'd get slaughtered if you accidentally let one spot you.
#340 to #72 - blastinawf (07/18/2012) [-]

You originally get 15x damage with daggers, then use shrouded gloves to get 30x. Check it if you want.

And Frost giants? You sure?
User avatar #90 to #78 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
also I'm going to bed now

P.s. I don't actually feel this strongly about skyrim, I just think it's fun to argue about it. Also, I don't care about red thumbs.
User avatar #87 to #78 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
"The attack has to be a sneak attack which will activate the assassin perk. This perk does a multiplier of 15x to your dagger damage. Now if you have the shrouded gauntlets, that multiples the multiplier by 2x making it 30x. Now the armsman perk at 5/5 will double all one handed weapon damage, although it doesn't show it in the multiplier, it successfully makes your sneak attack 2x of the base damage."
User avatar #84 to #78 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
max sneak damage is 60x, go google it

and yes, Frost Giants on master. Took on two at the same time with nothing but dual blades absorbing health and paralyzing.
User avatar #329 to #84 - admiralen (07/18/2012) [-]
and then you realized youre a god damn assassin and that you could just sneak around the damn giants
User avatar #350 to #329 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
Already played as an assassin, one hit killing everything sucks the fun out of the entire game. It's got to be at least be a challenge.
User avatar #92 to #84 - finishhimlarry (07/18/2012) [-]
You got me. I agree with the 60x damage, it isn't in the sneak skill tree though.

Also, can you show me a picture of a frost giant? Are they in the new DLC? I genuinely want to know.
User avatar #95 to #92 - graphically (07/18/2012) [-]
Yeah, it is. Can't take screen shots because its on xbox360. I'd have to take a picture with a camera (gross).

They're pretty fucking strong though. Didn't think I'd have to go into rage mode to take them on.
