Very safe assumption

Do you also want to say that the 76er's prolly won't make it to 15 wins?

Anyone else getting annoyed by how many Runningbacks and Wide Receivers are publicly saying things like "we'd win if they gave me the ball more" from players like Demarco Murray, Lesean McCoy, Julio Jones, Ezekiel Elliot? First of all, don't know what throwing the coaches under the bus is going to accomplish but more importantly, its stupid. You want the coach to keep giving the all to a back who's averaging like 2 yards per carry? You want the get the ball thrown to you in triple coverage? That's reckless. Meanwhile you have players like Larry Fitzgerald who isn't complaining and blocking like an All-Pro offensive linemen when someone else gets the ball. There are cases where the coaching staff criminally underutilizes their best asset like Ezekiel Elliot vs Michigan State but most of these just sound selfish.

Cards in playoffs officially, if Seahawks lose this weekend, they win division.

however, it may come down to the last week of the season because I don't Seattle losing any game the next 3 weeks, they have it easy, Ravens, Browns, and at home for Rams (still rooting for Rams). I see the Seahawks finishing 10-6 because of this unfortunately and will be in playoffs.
Cards worst case would finish 11-5
Vikings at best can finish 11-5, and their schedule is easy from here so that's likely
Packers will lose out and miss playoffs because they're dumb as hell, they're talented, but they're just stupid.
toughest games for Panthers will be @ Atlanta or Buccs, but 16-0 is possible.
NFC East will be decided last week of season
AFC South as well
I see Denver finishing 11-5 given how tough their schedule is, Raiders, Steelers, and Bengals will give them a hard time.
KC will finish 10-6 given they have scrappy Raiders
Bengals I see 3 easy wins, worst case is 13-3.
Jets at worst 9-7 given Bills and Pats
Bills worst case 9-7 given Jets game... oh baby
Steelers have a tough schedule, worst case is 9-7 given Bengals and Broncos back to back
Back to NFC wildcard, Seahawks I said would still make it, but it's going to come down to Bucs and Falcons, Falcons are falling, Bucs are rising, I see Bucs winning the 2nd wildcard.

So Steven Stamkos for the 3rd time has "liked" tweets suggesting he comes to Toronto next season. He claims it was an accident but Im not buying it. He is either messing with the organization by trying to scare them or he may actually be eyeing Toronto come July 1st, or trade deadline. If he actually has his sights set on Toronto Tampa is screwed because they aren't getting much for him at the trade deadline as a rental.

They wouldn't get what he's worth, but they would still get a decent amount. Remember, Sekera gathered in a 1st and a prospect (IIRC), so you can only imagine what Stammer would get.
I feel like this is more of a "lets get the ball rolling on this contract" rather than him actually wanting to go to Toronto. Nobody wants to go to Toronto. Sure, he would get paid a shit ton, but he would have no supporting cast and a team that is going nowhere.

Someone made a comment that I believe to be true that would be a huge draw for Stamkos to Toronto. If he played in Toronto the endorsements alone would pay him more than the Bolts could ever offer him in a contract. A team that is looking to make a deep playoff run would probably offer a 1st rounder and a B-level prospect but I don't see being much more than that. Also Toronto has the best management team in the league and the leading scorers in both the AHL and OHL so they have a bright future

They do have a bright future, I agree, but still. Babcock is notorious for keeping good, young players down while sticking with the old crew. He's not good at coaching young players. Lou is the same, if not even worse, always goes with the old, tried and true guy over the young blossoming star. In the end it all depends on if Stamkos wants to win or if he wants money.

Thats true because if all goes well Toronto will be good in like 5 years. Stamkos would be 30 and declining. And I was never crazy about the Lou hire for that reason. He made a mess of the Devils youth by the time he left.

The thing is, if Stammer wants to win with him as the centerpiece, he needs to stay with Tampa, as Tampa is in the position Toronto will most likely be in when, as you said, Stammer is declining.

I'm sure he would play well, but he would sign a huge contract, the team probably won't go anywhere for a few years, and by that time he will have been run out of town by the media for not making the entire team score 40+ goals.

I'm really bored
ITT: Sports wishes, things you wish would happen in sports whether it's a feel good matchup, something to stop a corrupted act, or hell a basic one like seeing your team win it all (too easy though be more creative than this one).

For example

I wish people/builders would be given tax incentives for renovation projects instead of building brand new. Building brand new stadiums cost millions-billions of dollars to build and need a shit ton of resources. In addition I wish the Super Bowl rule would change to not be so corrupt forcing every stadium to be upgraded/brand new just to host the Super Bowl. The only rules for the Super Bowl should be as followed, either a fair weather state, or a dome, simple as that, doesn't have to be brand new, doesn't need a major upgrade.

I also wish for this matchup to happen in a future Super Bowl, if they can get past their curses, Lions vs Browns. They're 2 of 4 teams that have never been to a Super Bowl, Lions last NFL title was in 1957 (when my mom was born), Browns last title was 1964, 2 years before the Super Bowl era began. If they can get past their curses, I would love to see them fight each other for their first Super Bowl, it would be a glorious matchup that would legit bring out the best in both teams.

Unpopular opinion probably but lately I've been thinking we should get rid of the draft. It's not fair to the players they should just be able to play where they choose as long as they can go get a contract.

Supply and Demand is why I don't think that would happen. Let's take last years draft for example. Jameis Winston is the top overall pick so lets say he'd sign with whichever team he wants. On paper it might sound as if he'd just go to the best team, but the best teams do not need a quarterback. Also the best teams are already going to have really good rosters so the best rookies would not get substantial playing time and therefore those good teams like the Patriots or the Packers or whichever would not pay them a lot of money to just be backups. Teams that are struggling would pay a lot of money for a franchise QB, a lot more for Patriots or Packers would pay a backup. Relatively weaker teams would pay more for good rookies because they would need them to have an impact right away. Remember we are still dealing with a salary cap and roster limits so the richest teams can't spend absurdly more than other teams. On a side note it gives players greater flexibility If they have certain issues like they want to stay close to home for family issues or whatever.

Top 5 all-time American probably. #1 no. Modano is #1. Youre a Hawks fan so youre bias. If Kane played on a team that wasn't stacked he would be on par with a player like Phil Kessel but with more character issues.

Kane is ahead of Modano and LaFontaine at where they were at this point of Kanes career in a much harder league with a lot more parity, not to mention he has the longest point streak of an american were scoring is getting harder and harder every year. So I may have an obvious bias but just looking at accolades and the fact he is in a much more competitive time of hockey, I say he is going to be the best american ever, if he isnt already.

I still rank Modano higher. He didn't have guys like Toews, Seabrook, Keith, etc in their primes. Best I can think of for Modano was Joe Niewendyk and a declining Hull. Really though it is an opinion thing though so there is no right answer.

not necessarily, he had a 3.02 ERA last season which is very respectable, the problem was 0 run support, he went 6-17 because of that. Totally different than Kyle Lohse who went 5-13 with a 5.85 ERA in 22 starts out of 37 appearances who just straight up threw home runs.

It could still work out tho for the DBacks who now have Greinke. Arizona is super hittable like Denver so their offense could carry their pitching still. Although on the flip side, these pitchers would have to play like All-Stars+ just to win each game (because Arizona is so hittable). If anything the D-Backs need is a closer/reliever, Chapman's trade is on hold because of Domestic Violence, the trade might be dropped so if and when Chapman becomes eligible again, the D-Backs should go for him.
