Also it's really dumb that a london team is in the NFL, what the fuck we're they thinking? they should do it like football/soccer, every nation has a league and a national team, then we could have world championships and shit.

For me, I loved football almost my whole life and now, but I hope EU doesn't get a League. It's not a healthy sport compared to Baseball, or even Soccer. America should keep our shity form of gladiator sport to ourselves with boxing and MMA. I don't think EU would allow another brain musher sport along with our boxing and UFC. In America kids grow up just to play football and they earn millions and millions of $$$ and they are as worthless to the world as a drug dealer sometimes.

I'm not complaining about Paychecks. Money is money, but In America, my black brothers rise out of the gutters and streets and shit lives, and places where civil rights are shit, then they earn Fame and $$$$ and they don't go back to where they came from and they don't make it better or start movements, or even stand up for something that they believe in when they finally have the resources to do so. I know my Real Madrid team or Barcelona teams don't put a Euro back into it's people only if the people know how to kick a ball. I'm sorry, I'm way off topic.
I think my Giants play the Cowboys in London this year. Last time they wen to london, we won a superbowl.

Badgers sign Justin Wilcox from USC to be our new DC, not a bad hire, he was middle of the pack with USC, very good with Boise State, but i'm unsure how he was between that. His base defense is a 3-4, so apparently we're sticking with the 3-4. Consistency, I can see that, but long term I know for a fact that recruiting 3-4 is going to get difficult, especially considering in state recruiting vs national. you're not going to find a lot of 300lb. NT's in Wisconsin, let alone talented enough to play at Wisconsin.

but hey, in Alvarez we trust! We return 7 starters on defense, I like those numbers.

Hypothetical here...

For one game, the NFL eliminates the play clock, and at the end of every play, the game clock stops.

Essentially, we get and hour of actual play time, along with what would pretty much be an unlimited timeout between each play.

So I ask you this:

1. How long does the game last?
2. What's the score?
3. How many records are broken?
4. Would starters still play the whole game if it were close?
5. Would it even be possible to stay close after that long?

I have sort of tried this on Madden 06, without accellerrated clock, it's like having no play clock at all. I have scored max score and it took me hours to complete, and this was like 5 minute quarters too. Max score btw is 255. 30+td's plus a fg. this is including every single player on my team. So no it wasn't close, and irl it would just be disastrous.

The current play clock system is just fine.

It's a programming thing. He just meant the score is stored in a single byte of memory, which is really small and the highest number it can hold is 255. Which makes sense for a sport where scores don't generally go above 50.

To get the NFL relocation speculation train going for 2016, they're proposing a billion dollar stadium to be built in Las Vegas near UNLV and they are reportedly meeting with the Raiders ownership

I think they're building the stadium anyway for UNLV, and Vegas is pretty much offering to home the Raiders if they so choose. (Whether or not a $1 billion stadium is genuinely meant for a shit-tier college team seems unlikely tho)

Don't really see why not move there. The Raiders persona fits perfectly with Sin City and their already rabid fanbase won't be watered down by three other teams in their state. Plus there is so much money to be made in Vegas.

And fuck all that corruption noise. I don't give a fuck. If they go to Vegas and act all corrupt, big deal. NFL has been dealing with cheating accusations for more than a decade. Be interesting to see someone other that the Pats get accused.

Yeah I think that's the plan. UNLV would be getting the proposed stadium and an NFL team can join in if they want. And yeah I have no problem with gambling. It's recreation, some people go over board but that's no different than alcohol. With places like Miami, Chicago, and Detroit Vegas wouldn't be the worst city to have a sports team. And gambling is a huge part of sports. Whether American politicians acknowledge it or not

I liked the San Antonio idea better, Las Vegas is home to gambling, and if they get their hands on NHL, NBA, MLB, or an NFL team, you can bet (no pun intended) that gambling corruption is going to go insane, and players just like one NHL dude, will just get themselves into all sorts of trouble there. Las Vegas is not called Sin City for nothing... THEY'RE FINE AS IT IS WITHOUT MAJOR LEAGUE SPORTS! The 51's are good enough.

And as long as American sports leagues want to continue to pretend that gambling isn't a huge reason why so many people watch sports they aren't going to like the idea of a pro team in Vegas.

We are now entering that time of year where there's hardly any sports on tv besides Basketball... I live in Wisconsin, we don't get much hockey except the Wild, AHL's Milwaukee Admirals (who apparently stink this year), USHL's Green Bay Gamblers, and college if lucky... oh joy...

You know, with the NFL ending not this weekend but next weekend, you'd think more sports would be available between now and April 3rd (MLB Opening day). I don't care what sport besides basketball, I want more hockey, bowling, any sport to be on!

The only reason is that so I can come here frequently like i normally would...

you see I actually LIKED Arena Football, we have a team here and I only went to one game, I had a blast but my mom thought it was boring as hell. There are some spectacular plays in the Arena Football. Plus there should be a minor league system, and these months would be great. The thing is that it needs more money and the teams need to be in cities with either more than 1 arena, or a non-NBA NHL city. Like Des Moines for example has the 16k seat Wells Fargo Arena, not to be confused with Tempe, Arizona's or Philly's.

I know some people who go to Jacksonville Sharks games who say it's real fun. You definitely get some crazy offense. I wouldn't mind watching it.

And there should absolutely be a minor league (someone wants to reform the USFL as a minor league). College mainly is the prep league for the NFL but it had the whole student athlete problem as there are schools where they're there to get a degree and the top tier schools (Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Ohio State lately) are essentially NFL farms and you get a lot of top players who really have no business being on a college campus. You could fix a lot of the NCAA issues that way.

I'm not completely opposed to dealing Morin, I see him leveling out as a better Coburn, but I'm not dealing him for an older forward, TBH I'm not concerned about this year, Flyers are not that good and if they make the playoffs big whoop were probably getting bounced in the first round, I'm looking two to three years down the line, and I do not want to jeopardize the bright future we have in order to make a run this year, that's how we ended up where we are now, thats how we ended up with MacDonald's contract
