I know there aren't many soccer fans here (and probably even less MLS fans)

but my home team, Montreal Impact, made it to the final of the CONCACAF Champion's League after being at the bottom of the MLS table last season!

From a small bankrupted team playing in a shit "stadium" to starting back as a non-profit club, winning 2nd division titles, building it's own stadium, getting to the CCL quarterfinals, getting into MLS, signing Nesta (Italian CB, considered one of the best in the world), and now the CCL final. Goddamn.

For anyone wondering how we got a spot in the CCL even though we were at the bottom of the table: we won the Canadian Championship and therefore got a spot.

From a shitty stadium with like 4000 people, to selling 30 000 tickets at the Olympic Stadium for the semi-final, to selling 10 000 tickets in under 2 hours at the Olympic Stadium for the final. Amazing.

Hello fellow Montrealer, I was at the Pachuca game when Porter scored in stoppage time, it was pandemonium. Club America is gonna be one hell of a challenge though.
User avatar #46411 to #46410 - awesomerninjathing (04/11/2015) [-]
oh wow, hey

bro I watched that on TV and just about shit my pants I was so hyped, like WOW
then Porter went ant got himself injured for the rest of the year lol

yeah, for sure. We're either going to be torn apart, or the hype around us will be at incredible heights and we'll pull through somehow. I believe.

At the Pachuca game, right next to me was this Mexican guy with his gf (which already irritated me cause a few days prior, the girl I was with threw me away), but then he also kept making comments about how any efforts from the Impact were useless after Pachuca scored the penalty. I was becoming increasingly pissed off with every remark he made, until the last minute...bruuuuuuhhh I simply cannot describe how I jumped and celebrated and how fucking satisfied I was to see his sorry ass sitting down and not saying a single word anymore in disbelief while literally everybody around was celebrating like the end of the world was avoided.

I filmed the last few minutes (right after Porter scored + the final whistle), I can send you a dropbox link if you want to check it out (unfortunately I didn't capture the savagery that occurred in the seconds after the goal since I was myself indulging in the collective euphoria)

trust me, I watched the replay enough online lol

the Impact facebook page posted a few videos of it from different angles

Yes I've seen it from those angles as well, here's the link anyways if you want to see how people celebrated

Without a doubt the best video I've ever recorded.
The 2nd leg of the final will be on April 29th, and I have a final exam at the same damn time, courtesy of McGill..can't believe I might miss a rare and historic CL final right here in our city

considering my Bolts have already clinched a spot, i really want the Flames to win, because if there's one team that's gonna flick the switch in the playoffs, it's the Kings as usual.

Yes!!! As much as this season has been rough we can take solace in the fact we probably just eliminated the reigning cup champs from the playoff race.

Just got on a racing bike for a first time today, tried it out on a mounted thing. Tested some stuff under the guidance of my dad - but afterwards I was completely exhausted. It's difficult to describe, but my vision became almost completely white - could only see a small area right where I focused my vision at.

It ended up getting worse and I could barely stand up, at this point I was trying to get up the stairs with my vision completely blanked out. Dad helped me get to a bench and calm down for a bit, but it ended up lasting for perhaps 5 mins or so. Felt great actually pushing my body to it's limit for once, as I tend to stay in and play games/sit in front of the computer. Going to bike tomorrow aswell, but of course taking it more easy.

So, has this happened to you guys aswell? My understanding of it was that my brain simply didn't get enough oxygen, and the capillary arteries in my eyes were getting closed off by the sphincters. The nausea was probably from me changing from "lying down" position to standing straight so quickly.

Senators seem to be getting btfo right now, but the Pens do tend to give up big leads. I was hoping this would be a good game to watch, i'm a bit disappointed so far.

Is it also dukes fault Wisconsin took 20 seconds to get a shot off. The refs are always bad during these games. Get over it
