Hmmm pope francis will be watching this game in close inspection. I think if germany wins they'll be a excommunion announced soon by the vatican.

lets go Argentinaaaaaaaaaaaa
#30829 - friedgreenpomatoes (07/13/2014) [-]
Kickoff soon. Brace for hype and a tsunami of activity.

Also German nationalism is on the rise.
Also Argentine nationalism is on the rise.

Messi will be waiting for his coronation while Germany waits for its completion. Who will win Germany or Argentina? It'll be a good one since they are rivals and they had a history of wins and losses between each other. Let's goooo!
User avatar #30827 - geobeo ONLINE (07/13/2014) [-]
Well then, kickoff soon.

What are you're predictions for this wc final?
Who are you cheering for?

I am neutral as always, at least for the start of the game. The only thing I hope for is a game with a lot of goals for both sides and without rough play.
User avatar #30830 to #30827 - christmouth (07/13/2014) [-]
I think it's going to be a Germany win, which is also the team I have been cheering for the whole tournament.
User avatar #30831 to #30830 - geobeo ONLINE (07/13/2014) [-]
I made a prediction a week before the wc started that Germany would win the wc against netherlands. I was almost right about the germany vs netherlands part.
User avatar #30826 - ishallsmiteyou (07/13/2014) [-]
this better be a German victory.
#30821 - qwertyjr (07/13/2014) [-]
I hope this Fifa game is a high scoring one
I hope Germany wins tho
User avatar #30824 to #30821 - geobeo ONLINE (07/13/2014) [-]
Historically there are very few goals in the finals.
Then again, there has been a digestive end product ton of goals this wc

My cable and internet was out for like for a long as while an hour before the game started....
I almost got my shoes on to go to a bar to watch the game.

Germany wins and i'll get £70, if Muller is top scorer i'll get £140. C'mon ze Germans!
User avatar #30820 to #30815 - cedrock (07/13/2014) [-]
Muller will get carded for diving since yesterday's referee opened that up on Oscar. I guess FIFA's "no cards for diving" policy has been lifted.
User avatar #30822 to #30820 - vwanyama (07/13/2014) [-]
Take a few deep breaths, relax.. and enjoy the game.
User avatar #30823 to #30822 - cedrock (07/13/2014) [-]
Lel I'm relaxed. I'm just making predictions. Unlike the dutch, I like the germans, they don't bulldigestive end product as much as Holland.

All in all I don't care who wins, unless it's outrageously bulldigestive end product just like yesterday.

#30807 to #30806 - wolfieofterror (07/13/2014) [-]
Well there are the odds of the germans having that extra resting day and coming off an enormous boost in morale recently(coughb7a1il) and di maria might not show up due to an injury. If argentina wins then Messi will be the new maradona. If Germany wins they'll finally be out of the dust and be at the top(since they lost so many semifinals and finals) It's also suspected to rain in the maracana so they'll be a terrain disadvantage for both sides but the miracle of bern showed that Germany is okay playing in those conditions. It'll be a tough one and this match will probably decide who the golden ball and the goalkeeper award goes to.
User avatar #30808 to #30807 - christmouth (07/13/2014) [-]
I agree with that the Germans are the favorites. People are talking about that Messi needs to win this, so he can finally achieve something his national team, and also surpass Maradona in that area, but I think that is the same with the German player.

As you said, they have been so close so many times these past tournaments, and this might be the last chance for Schweini, Lahm, Podolski, and Klose, so I think they are more eager than Argentina to finally try to win it.
#30809 to #30808 - wolfieofterror (07/13/2014) [-]

User avatar #30764 to #30754 - cedrock (07/12/2014) [-]
FIFA and PES aren't as good as they seem. Football games just suck in general, don't suspect that you will play like they play on TV. I would suggest torrenting it then buying it if it suits you, cause you'll want to buy it if you want to play Ultimate Team.
User avatar #30767 to #30764 - awesomerninjathing (07/12/2014) [-]
whats ultimate team?
User avatar #30779 to #30767 - cedrock (07/12/2014) [-]
Forgot to mention that you can also trade with other players. And best of all there's "legend" cards like Pele, who are extremely rare. (15 000 000 coins. Keep in mind you buy a pack for 500 I think)
User avatar #30778 to #30767 - cedrock (07/12/2014) [-]
Basically you make a team out of Bronze rated players first. You start playing games online and earning coins, advancing through levels. You can buy "Player packs" with you're coins (Bronze packs, Silver, Gold.) and get a bunch of new players. What's good about it is sometimes you get rare cards that are different color and different stats of a player based on their performance in the real world. (For example, Klose has a Green card because he's a "record breaker", messi has one cause he was man of the match, etc.)

It can arguably be P2W, but still, you can score with anyone if you play good. (You can buy packs with real money.

aaaah so that's what I saw my friend posting on facebook

would FIFA 14 be a good choice then? I watched a couple videos on youtube and the graphics look terrible but I'm going to a friend's house sometime this week to try it out
User avatar #30781 to #30780 - cedrock (07/12/2014) [-]
Yeah like I said, you can't have a perfect FIFA game, or they're just making them gradually better on purpose so that people don't stick to one FIFA. Also yeah, newest one is best choice because it gets updated.

What team did you support during the WC? Might want to follow how its players are doing at their clubs.

I did something similar. I always liked France and Italy because of Zidane and Luca Toni, so I rooted for them during the 2006, and I then got an admiration for Ribery, and began to watch him and Luca Toni Bayern after the WC, and I consider myself a Bayern Munchen fan today
User avatar #30766 to #30763 - awesomerninjathing (07/12/2014) [-]
greece, brazil, argentina mainly

so FC Barcelona is basically my main choice I guess

That I can't help you with, as I don't know how it is in Canada. Don't you have channels that show football? You could perhaps get a subscription on some channel, so that you can stream the matches online.

I've got an Eurosport one, and I stream Bundesliga matches through it.
