I must say. I was extremely impressed with Derek Carr's performance against quite a few of those first string Seattle players. For a Rookie that is very impressive.

> Schaubs face when watching Carr play.

Apparently Derek Carr played out of his mind
#32661 - repostsrepost (08/29/2014) [-]
Oh yeah and ESPN. Please stop dressing Florida State as some unbeatable juggernaut. I don't like being overhyped. That never turns out well.
#32656 - repostsrepost (08/29/2014) [-]
To be fair, I can't think of a single legitimate reason South Carolina should have been in the top 10 at all.

Watch TAMU go 9-3 or 10-2 and ESPN will still call it a recovery year after Manziel's mediocre 8-4.
User avatar #32669 to #32659 - dangler ONLINE (08/29/2014) [-]
Note that Johnny Manziel did not have a defense.

But for real tho, Kenny "The Man" Football hype
#32695 to #32669 - repostsrepost (08/29/2014) [-]
Does this TAM team have a defense either? Let's wait until they play Auburn and Alabama.
User avatar #32705 to #32695 - dangler ONLINE (08/30/2014) [-]
I think they have worse offenses to worry about than Auburn or Alabama
#32706 to #32705 - repostsrepost (08/30/2014) [-]
On their schedule? nah. I don't know of anyone else they play
User avatar #32707 to #32706 - dangler ONLINE (08/30/2014) [-]
LSU, Ole Miss, and potentially Mizzou. I honestly don't know if Alabama and Auburn will be the dominant offenses of the conference, or even the West. Granted, I haven't seen them play yet, but they've both lost pivotal pieces of their 2013 offenses.
#32708 to #32707 - repostsrepost (08/30/2014) [-]
Ole Miss and Mizzou I don't think are going to wow anyone. But Mizzou is gonna be better than Miss. LSU is a question mark. maybe they're great, maybe Fournette is spectacular, or maybe they're meh. Alabama and Auburn, neither of which are going to be as good as last year, are likely to be their strongest opponents. More likely Auburn.
User avatar #32709 to #32708 - dangler ONLINE (08/30/2014) [-]
I dunno. If Dr. Bo finds his zone, he has an amazing selection of receivers to which to throw the ball. If he can play like he did the second half of the Boise game for the rest of the season, plays will be made. Have you seen Laquon Treadwell do, well, anything? On Auburn v Alabama, I think Bama's offense is a bit deeper in talent than Auburn's, and will be more disciplined too. Gus is a great coach, but Saban is Saban, and I think he has more with which to work in terms of offense.
#32710 to #32709 - repostsrepost (08/30/2014) [-]
Exactly it took them until the 4th quarter to pull away from Boise. If they play that way for the rest of the season, they'll get squashed against the real competition.
User avatar #32711 to #32710 - dangler ONLINE (08/30/2014) [-]
It's all whether or not Bo makes good decisions. And you're right; he's gonna have a lot of trouble against SEC d-lines since his o-line isn't particularly great. Imo, Ole Miss easily has the potential to be the best offense (and perhaps overall) in the conference. It just seems as though they (especially Wallace) have a much harder time playing consistently at 100% in comparison to other teams in the west. But if they get turnt, I think they have a pretty good shot at Atlanta, especially since Bama and Auburn are falling off a good bit. But as of right now, I think Kenny "The Man" Football has the best offense in the SEC.
#32719 to #32711 - repostsrepost (08/30/2014) [-]
I'm adopting a wait and see attitude with Kenny. He played really well against SC. But let's see what he does done the road. Bo might make a good QB if he watches out for the interception which he seems to throw a lot of. And its quite possible TAMU has the best offense in the SEC. Because the entire conference is up in the air right now.
User avatar #32721 to #32719 - dangler ONLINE (08/30/2014) [-]
Up in the air, just like Bo's passes. I'm waiting for Kenny to get sacked and/or injured just so that I can make the joke that I think everyone is prepared to make.

sorry PhilliyoMLB, on the bright side, it's just preseason, also I think the refs were to harsh on u guys, I will admit that

I didn't see the game I was at work, I'm guessing the secondary got their ass kicked?
User avatar #32666 to #32665 - saltyfries ONLINE (08/29/2014) [-]
sort of, 34-14 Packers won, but there were a shit ton of penalties against the Chiefs, I think the refs were a bit biased/harsh on them. On the bright side, Chief running backs are really good this year.
User avatar #32667 to #32666 - philliyoMLB (08/29/2014) [-]
Well Chiefs running backs are historically good, I'm only worried about the secondary.

Ajax is still a good team though. Don't know how good they are after selling off Eriksen, but that was last season so you should be able to tell me.

Ludogorets is going to get fucked by Real and Liverpool lol

I hope Olympiacos at least gets somewhere in Group A

I'm hyped for PSG vs Barca, Zlatan vs Messi & Neymar

Barca and PSG

Considering that I'm an Ajax fan those two teams were not what I was waiting for

Group C should be fun though, no clear favorites

he's just lucky the slide tackle hit the ball into his dick/chest and not, well, off his feet

I didn't watch the game but this replay is insane

Ludogorets' goalie gets a red card in the 118th minute with no subs left, they go to penalties, and a fucking CB saves 2 penalties and gets them into the Champion's League

his celebration at the end, my god I have no idea how crazy that must feel

That some impressive shit.

I don't know much about the sport, why did they do penalty kicks when the score was 1 - 0?
User avatar #32625 to #32624 - awesomerninjathing (08/28/2014) [-]
it's an aggregate 1-1 (they played two matches, the other team won 1-0 in that match), so they're tied in knockout stages and went to penalties
User avatar #32626 to #32625 - bondofsnow (08/28/2014) [-]
