pokemonstheshiz (07/04/2012) [-] Back then what they knew was that there was a potential threat of Russia nuking us, which would make life in that area unsustainable on the ground for quite some time, hence when they would have built a city in the sky. A little far fetch'd, yes, but they also thought we were progressing much faster than we were in terms of technology, they thought we'd have flying cars and shit too. But that doesn't make them retarded, just optimistic.
