I beat new vegas on hardcore its not that bad just make sure you have enough food and water, and only care as much ammo as you need and ALWAYS get any stimpacks you find.

is it really that hard? i've considered it a few times but I can never devote enough serious attention to it during casual mode

Food and sleep aren't that bad. You just gotta find a water source or stock up on water. And monitor your bullets and be sure to defend your companions while the defend you.

Oh yeah I forgot about all those fiends I killed for plasma rifle ammo.

I don't like playing as an evil character either. I feel like it completely makes the game pointless because you are saving people from a bad guy but you are just as shitty as him.

Especially New Vegas, with all the factions and what not. I was working for Mr. House and during the Battle of Hoover Dam, I had to let Boone kill NCR troops so he wouldn't leave me. Kinda sick, actually.

quick question. I know im gonna sound like a total noob/newfag but here is the predicament im in. When i first started the game, I became part of the NCR. After a while of earning their trust and what not, i became a full member of them. After a while though, i stumbled across the Brotherhood of Steel. I thought they were totally bad ass, and really wanted to become part of them. I did everything they asked and became part of them, so they taught me "how to" wear their super hi-tech armor. Anyways, i went on playing the game and what not, doing missions for both the BoS and NCR, but thats when I found out that they were massive enemies (i got Fallout NV before Fallout 3, i dont know why). So i unhappily became a part of Cacears Legion. I even got the boomers on there side. But Casers next task for me was to destroy the BoS. Now at this point I was inlove with the BoS so i got angry. I went and got Raul, we got our guns, and killed EVERYONE on that damn island, including Casear himself. My question to you is, will there still be a battle for Hoover Dam if I killed Casers Legion without any orders to?

Yes, because when you kill Ceaser, his right-hand man, Legate Lenius, takes over. And he's much more brutal than Ceaser.

I remember I put on a NCR uniform on accident right in front of ceaser and EVERYBODY just went apeshit and murdered me.

Me and Boone were going to turn the dam's power supply and let Mr. House take over, but then I accidentally killed an NCR. Boone got pissed at me and told me to stop, I said you're better off dead than alive and we had a showdown. It was pretty epic.

I remember when i first found boon (I never listened to the person in the giftshop) so I went up and found him, and thought how did this bandit get up here? so i murdered him and took his shit.

Im pretty sure I killed him too.....

Well, he's not stationed on the same island as Ceaser, so I don't think you killed him...

Be prepared, though. He's a tough motherfucker. Make sure you're companions have good armor and weapons, their defaults won't be do much damage. I took him down at level 20 with a Gauss Rifle, equipped with T-41b armor, and lots of Stimpacks. Or, if you have a high Unarmed skill, use the ballistic fists his guards drop when you head for the final battle.
