I am a Christian and even though it is in my beliefs that homosexuality is a sin, I do also believe it is nowhere in my rights to condemn anyone for anything. I want to live in a FREE country where people have the right to choose the lifestyle they wish to live and not be told what to do. I would be offended if someone passed a law stating Christianity is now illegal because it conflicts with their views. A free government is not ruled by one, but ruled by all. Blacks whites, atheist and Christians or any other religion, straights and gays and everyone else who are deemed free under our constitution should all be considered free. Christians seem to forget their jobs here. We are not supposed to condemn others for their sins. It is not our job to change others. If Christians wish to follow the new testament so closely, then they should remember this from Peter. "Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with GENTLENESS and RESPECT." I support FREEDOM!

I do believe sexuality is a choice.

The homosexuals I have talked to before all said that it was a choice for them.
However, that's basically advanced bisexuality.
You don't see people just saying like "omg dude i can't help it im gay"
No, they're more confident in their action and attitude.
Even though everyone seems to be for gay rights, they are still psychologically frowned upon in most peoples minds while others say the support it while just wanting to get out of the way of the argument.

The homosexuals you have talked to said it was a choice for them?
Right, that makes perfect sense, besides that it doesn't make any difference
Even if it would work like that, that you could just choose what you are attracted to it's still their decision and no business of yours. What is it exactly about two consensual human beeings of the same gender wanting to spend their life together and have their union documented that keeps you up at night? Please elaborate
Yet again you're just an anon so i'd be suprised to get a real answer out of you

It is my business then.
Even if you aren't referring to only funnyjunk, they still become too intrusive on daily life and everything has reached a point where it is things like "Oh you don't like gays? You're wrong." While we are also entitled to our opinion, it's just that once in a while other people stand up against them.

if people have the right to be gay, the right to marry then people have the right to not agree with it. technically being gay is against peoples religions, its not even been that long since its become socially accepted and statistically it is not the norm...so youre bound to have a fair amount of people that disagree with it.

you all preach about how wrong it is to be prejudice, assumptions and genralisation is...yet if somebody disagrees with gay marriage or gay people in general, they become the4 scum of the earth and deserve to die a terrible death. what if they einstein diagreed? newton? ghandi? orrrr what if dave grohl, chuck norris, hugh laurie...would you all say they deserve to die?

like i said im fine with gay people, even letting them get married...but i think its hypocritcal how dramatic and prejudice everyone is being towards homophobic people...

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me."

That's a speech from Martin Niemöller about the German's under the rule of the Nazis. If you do nothing, you're just as bad as the person saying all the things.
And I don't have logic? You say I cannot hate someone for having an opinion, when it is my right to be able to do so. And in my OPINION your friend is a ******* idiot.

You do not agree with his opinion so if the topic of jews came up, you would disagree. but whats not logical is judging someone on one opinon, whats not logical is wanting somebody to die because of that one opinion. That is illogical because it is the hypocritcal. He hates jews because he genralises them all as his "enemy"...you hate him because you genralise him on his opinion on the topic. both do the same thing.

so like i said, dont preach logic if youre not going to use it yourself

You've just told me I cannot hate him for having an anti-semite opinion, yet you are fine with him having that opinion? And what is not logical is GENERALISING an entire race/religion as an enemy when only a small portion cause you trouble. What's not logical is how you cannot see that opinions can be wrong when they cause hatred and violence. What's not logical is the how you are trying to change my opinion of your idiotic friend and not trying to change the opinion of your friend.

All im saying is that he has the right to it, and i wont judge his whole character and person on his one opinion on this one topic.

if youre going to argue and debate with me then argue against the right point, which youre not.

This post seems that it's completely inaccurate. I'm all for Gay Rights, and ****. ******* Oreos man. ******* Oreos. Back to business though, this Oreo ordeal is going to create a huge debate and only increase the homophobia. This is completely being shoved down our throats. I'm tired of hearing all the gay rights debate, it's not our choice to allow them to get married, and no not everyone is going to respect them. If you're different in any way there's always going to be someone who doesn't respect you or like what you're doing. I mean, the people who eat Oreos daily but don't approve of gay rights are literally having gay rights being shoved down your throat. I mean if you're not okay with people being gay from and understandable standpoint I'm okay with that. It's whatever, but this is really being shoved down peoples throats. Pic related. Oreo broke the rules.
