The Gatorade one isnt a myth, It really was named after them because they were the first team to use the drink and they performed better while drinking it. So the company named the drink after them due to the major success they had with it.

Yeah the KFC one is fake, the adverts we have all say chicken countless times, show people cooking "fresh" chicken and referring to it as chicken, chicken is all over the menu as well like the popcorn chicken, chicken strips. All over it.
