In any fandom there's people who simply enjoy the show, people who really like the show, people who obsess and buy all the merch, people who go to cons, those who make art, and people that make nsfw about it. We don't walk around screaming about how people who are harder core fans than ourselves ruin other shows, so why mlp? Enjoy the show on your own level. Im not commenting to you in particular, but I've been wanting to type this out for a while and your comment was relevant.

True but I've never seen one that was to this extent, many things have fanatics and hardcore's but this fanbase seems to have one the likes of which the internet has never seen.

It is pretty recent and I don't know why the show is so god damn attracting. Makes me wonder why I like it.

i agree with the dude below but it's not just the show. Some bronies have amazing artistic skill, can make beautiful music, or are great writers and MLP is just a muse to channel that. I guess that can make someone into a super fanatic.

Technically it's still just a show, yes I'll admit there are some very talented fans who make some very impressive fan-works, however it's still just a 2 season 48 episode TV show.

I didn't see anyone was opposed to Legend of Korra taking over. In fact there were more Lok post reaching front page then MLP.

Weirdly enough, I haven't gotten any crap from anyone about being a brony. I don't go around waving flags or anything, but my comp's background is a human AJ that I personally think would be easy to connect to the show. I guess it's because most of the people I've been surrounded by/surrounded myself with are either bronies, furries, fond of anime, or entirely too fucking stupid for me to pay any degree of attention to.

Actually there were a lot of people who were sick of the whole LoK thing, they just got thumbed down into the deepest point of the devils cherry pink asshole. And yes though bronies were and still are unjustly hated just for being bronies don't forget there was a time where pony post were once as frequent on the frontpage as LoK was just a few days ago if not more so.

i remember, i wasn't even a brony at that time, I kept making the comments into spider-man threads!
