That woodcut is actually really confusing, which bothers me, because I normally understand most of Hans Freckenberg's work. Could you explain it?

apologies, i knew when i saved it, but that was likely years ago now.

It's a post-apocalyptic scene, where half the human race have been mutated into rotting horrors and the other half have turned into frogs. In this one, obviously, the two are lovers and the man simply wants to take part in the upbringing of his son, but the mother was drunk on irradiated vodka when he was conceived and knows that their families will burn them both at the stake if they find out they've been in an inter-mutation relationship.
