Being English I am rather glad we lost to Italy. We managed to hold them all the way to penalties, which is quite an achievement. England v Germany would be over in seconds, England would stand no chance.

True say, they should have gotten a penalty or two but I actually, in all honesty, thought that Italy were a much better side during the second half and extra time and so they deserved it much more. It was so frustrating watching England waste so many good chances.

I love watching Carroll play, When playing fifa a couple of years ago i would create a custom player and always make him as tall as it could go so he could get onto headers and also very heavy so he couldn't be easily pushed off the ball and Carroll reminds me so much of the players i used to create.

Rooney wasn't shit, you try playing up front when you have absolutely not service. There's not a lot he can do if he never gets the ball in their half. He wasn't his best but you absolutely can not blame him. England played well but were out classed. We're just not a top 4 team. Germany and Spain and Portugal and Italy just are better than us.

From what I have seen, Rooney has never put in a decent performance when playing in a a major international tournament. It's time for us to stop thinking he is our 'Golden boy'
