Korra already had feelings for Mako before he even met Asami, and vice versa. People say that she is a cry baby, and whiny. I see it like this, Her whole life she was given teachers, and she was very good at bending, mastering each one very quickly, then BOOM! She can't airbend for shit. Even Aang could do a little of each element when he started them. She believes something is wrong with her. Be careful what you say before comparing one Avatar to another. Aang looks like a major pussy compared to Kyoshi, for example.

This did piss me off a little. With the season only being 12 episodes I felt their relationship was horribly rushed and a bit forced.
And on the note of Korra crying(cause she did...a lot) keep in mind she's 16 years old and is all of a sudden thrown into basically stopping a huge terrorist movement in the city. I think that would make an adult break down, let alone a teenager. Plus it's not like she couldn't do anything. She could handle her own fights. So what if she needed Mako and Bolin to pick her back up a few times? She can't be perfect. Let her have some character flaws.

I was happy for them (still am) but still, kinda fucked up how Asami just gets shrugged off. I know she basically kicked Mako to the curb but there was nothing saying that they're over. So basically Mako's kicking up another shitstorm.

I hate that Korra cries whenever things get a bit too tough. Damn bitch grow a pair.
True, but when Aang lost Appa, couldn't get earth or fire bending down he didn't just cry for a whole episode, he fucking did something about it. When he learned that his Air Nomad tribe/village/lolidunno was destroyed he got srs mode and went into the Avatar State.

Everyone hated Mako, but really, think of it this way:
Asami got told Korra liked Mako. Mako and Korra were close friends, and after she was kidnapped for a day or two, he wanted to make sure that Korra was alright. What did Asami do after Korra got back..? She bitched about how Mako wasn't paying her any attention. She's self centred and gave Mako the cold shoulder because a lil' girl told her how Korra liked Mako.
So while Asami was being a bitch, Korra was being warm and friendly. Not to mention, Korra and Mako had feelings for one another before Asami came into the show. So if you consider that Asami gave Mako the cold shoulder, acted harshly towards him and chased him away, meanwhile Korra (Who he already had some feelings for and knew she had feelings for him) was there being friendly, warm and welcoming, methinks I'd have picked Korra too if I was in Mako's shoes.
Y'all are silly for thinking Mako's in the wrong for getting with Korra. I'm open for debate if anyone wants to add something I've forgotten about or missed

Your argument makes a lot of sense, because it's true, Asami's kind of a bitch, but that doesn't take away the fact that Mako's kind of a dick. Bolin is supposed to be the immature one of the group and yet when it comes to relationships he's miles ahead of Mako in the maturity department, he got rejected, cried it out a bit, and got over it, meanwhile Mako was there trying to juggle to girls. Also, and the end of the season finale, did he even tell Asami before went to Korra (I guess that part is open to interpretation howver.)
I actually like how the creators handled the love triangle. People seem to think that relationships are always permanent, but it's not alway slike that. Mako liked Asami but he LOVED Korra, but he tried not to pursue her because at first they were teammates, and Bolin liked her, and then later because it wouldn't be right to Asami. The relationship didn't work between him and Asami and they broke up and he ended up with Korra, while Asami will go on with her life. You can't really help who you love.
How did Korra ruin Asami's life? Amon was around before Korra, so all she did was help reveal her father as the douche he was. She would've found out eventually anyways. Asami finding out about the kiss really didn't do anything but help HER realize that the relationship wasn't going to work out. The relationship wasn't going to work regardless. They either would've broken up eventually or they wouldn't have been happy anyways because Mako had feelings for someone else.

Poor Asami, I liked her more and more. I do hope the writers didn't corrupt her...reverse Zuko would be hard to take.

What if Asami becomes the new villain because she's pissed off at them and becomes just like her father?

Why do the writers ignore Bolin so much? And every time Asami talks it's either about Mako or her mom and dad.
I fucking hated the ending. It was a rushed piece of shit. Everyone says that when Tarlok killed himself and Noatok, it was sad. I fucking laughed at that part because I hated both Noatok and Tarlok. They solved all the conflicts in the last episode leaving nothing to go on for season 2. Overall, while the show may have been okay, the ending was a pile of dog shit.
I'm not saying that i do. I'm just saying that the ending of the show was fucking terrible. Everything was rushed and I began to hate almost every character. Maco is a man slut. Korra is a bitch. I guess there's nothing wrong with Asami but Bolin is the worst earthbender that ever lived. Amon/ Noatok became a weakling and I already hated Tarlok for his previous actions. Most of the characters began to suck and the resolution was just awful.

Avatar: tLOK Sucked.
All of it was rushed, and the fighting was bad.
The music was slow, and not energetic.
The love triangle wasn't needed, and it was just thrown in there to get the attention of other teenagers.
I feel like I don't even know any of the characters too well, once again, they rushed it.
The ending was retarded, they tied up all of the loose ends in one minute, and didn't hint at season 2 at all.
The only good part was when Lin sacrificed herself, and then Tenzin and his family STILL got captured. WTF? They should atleast try to explain how that happened.
all in all, it sucked. sorry guys.

It is just the first season, it took three seasons for them to fully flesh out the characters of A:TLA. Compare the character development of A:TLA Book 1 with LoK Book 1. LoK is ahead: Sokka was still only comic relief who likes food, Katara did long speeches about hope, etc...
Tenzin and his family being captured showed that just because a character sacrificed itself, nothing is guareanteed, you know, like real life? It shows the tragedy of the outcome. And how they were captured is not important, what is important to know is that they were captured.
So what if it didn't hint at season 2? Season 1 is its own entity and stands on its own.
And please the music was incredible.
