That spider myth is not real.

I'm mostly sure that spiders like that don't actually exist, and if they do, I'm absolutely sure they aren't in Mexico

That's because it's a myth.

Pretty sure there is no way of proving the lions did it for fun

I'm gonna have to call that spider one. Spiders can't eat people. They liquify the insides of their prey and suck our the insides, which they couldn't possibly do to a human.

I'm just saying this as something to think about. If they swarmed her, and were possibly venomous, they could have paralyzed her and then began feeding. I don't know much on spiders.

I'm not an expert, but I know a bit. No spiders in Mexico have a neurotoxin powerful enough to paralyze you. Plus, a swarm of baby spiders would avoid a full grown human at all cost. In addition, they couldn't melt the inside of a person to the point necessary to consume.

The one about the lions is true. They have been killed and are now at display in New York somewhere.
User avatar #306 - tangiers (06/24/2012) [-]
Yeah the lion one isn't a myth.

The first one is the plot of a book Tsavo Maneaters and also a movie called "The Ghost and the Darkness." I'm sure it's based on some truth but according to that the lions killed because the people were building a railroad that cut through their territory.
