I think it needs to be longer than 12 episodes, and longer than 2 seasons. Still, the first series didn't have the same style as LoK. Each episode focused solely on the Equalists and, earlier, Pro-Bending. The original was mostly the original team Avatar traveling, solving problems, fighting the fire nation, etc.
