Jeepers creepers is a "cool" kind of horror
Strangers had great camera work
Fright night is good, not scary really, but good
The Lost Boys is good, some scary parts, but mostly cool
The Descent is really good
[REC] is spanish but GREAT
Trick r' Treat is a really good movie, scary parts, but an amazing ending
Dead Girl is pretty ****** up
Dead snow is da ****
Splinter is another cool movie
Slither is very creepy and disturbing at parts
28 Days later nuff said
Hostel has one of the most satisfying endings ever

If you want some other lesser known movies be free to ask!

the descent is good, even scarier if you are claustrophobic

the second one was not as good though. well it was entertaining just not as scary and as thrilling
#148 - itsukolawliet (06/23/2012) [-]
If you have Netflix, try Seed. I'm not sure how 'scary' It gets, but the beginning is like, psychologicaly ****** up dude. Seriously. It'll make ya sick.

Poltergeist, Insidious, Jaws (scared the **** out of me as a kid, not sure about today), Silent Hill, Darkness Falls, Nightmare on Elm Street, Paranormal Activity (after an hour or so), and The Mothman Prophecies (not that scary, but it stays with you for a couple days)
User avatar #36 to #32 - metalguitarest (06/23/2012) [-]
Good list except with Silent Hill. Once you play the games the movie just sucks.
User avatar #37 to #36 - antitrollmaster (06/23/2012) [-]
Unfortunately, I have never played the games.
User avatar #38 to #37 - metalguitarest (06/23/2012) [-]
******* scary as **** . Also each monster has a meaning behind the Characters past, personality, sins, and personal trauma. So when I saw the movie it had none of those original aspects. Plus, the games are just ******* terrifying.

I love the Boondock Saint's but isn't the prayer in Latin?
#47 to #46 - antitrollmaster (06/23/2012) [-]
They throw English in there later on in the movie. And it might be Italian, not Latin. Not sure, haven't seen it for a couple years.
User avatar #48 to #47 - metalguitarest (06/23/2012) [-]
I'm gonna watch it now

How many times do people need to say this. Satan Sphinx nor The Grifter are real video's. They are just a well done troll. There are no video's from hell, video's that make you want to kill yourself are impossible to make.

christ your a kill joy, there's a chance they can, subliminal messages work, even if they're not real, it's the thought they can that gives you a rush

I'd say [REC]. It's the original version of the American movie Quarantine. It's not too scary but I think that it's really well filmed. I also read somewhere that the main actress actually had no idea what was going on in the movie and was actually freaking out for real. I'm pretty sure that it's not true though ^^
#167 - jordanbrownie (06/23/2012) [-]
The strangers scared the **** out of me, and like you, i don't get scared too easily. It's about a couple that's going through a rough patch and they notice some weird stuff, people knocking on the door, watching them, ect. I got freaked out and paranoid afterwards.
The Orphanage is pretty good, it's not like scary, but creepy, it's in Spanish though. The chick grew up in this Orphanage and decides to buy it and run it. She's married and has a kid, who has some problems and has to take meds and whatnot. She has this opening party like thing and her kid goes missing, before he goes missing he talks about this kid he sees and talks to and she's convinced he's real and stole her son.
Also Pan's Labyrinth is another good one, also Spanish, and just creepy at parts, but a really good movie. It's about a girl during Spain in 1944, her mother is pregnant and is moving in with her husband, a Spanish captain i think. She finds a labyrinth is told by this faun that she's this princess, and to return to her kingdom she must do certain things. It goes back and forth with her and another woman, who works on the farm where the captain is, and she befriends the girl. Her brother is apart of the rebels and she's helping them and whatnot.

BTW OP, Supernatural isn't scary. Man the **** up.

I found the first couple of episodes scary but that was mostly because I hadn't watched many horror movies before. After the first season it wasn't scary at all.
