I've got one that has always bugged me... How about when there's a scene with several soldiers/guards that have automatic rifles, they all raise them up to aim down the sights and when they raise the gun up it makes a noise similar to reloading... I'm pretty sure raising a gun a few inches is pretty silent, but in a movie when they do it it sounds like they're all dropping their guns simultaneously

Actually, depending on the kind of round you're shot with, they can knock you back...rifle rounds generally cannot do this, as they are high-velocity and at short range haven't mushroomed yet... But, say, a .45, .44, or .357 round has enough force of impact to knock someone back... maybe not send them flying, but enough to knock them down... then there's shotguns.... no matter the type of round (slug or shot) the target is going flying unless they carry equal momentum in the opposite direction on impact...
