I'm currently unemployed so I can stay home all day, but haven't been one of those lazy asses that doesn't look for work, been looking for work for almost 2 years now.
Anyways, when she tells me to do something besides playing video games all day I tell her that there's nothing else for me to do besides that.
There isn't anything nearby my house that is interesting to go to (like a basketball court/beach/bowling alley/etc).
I live near none of my friends so I can't walk to their houses because they're too far to walk to.
My town is just boring in general, there's barely anything to do and just going for a walk bores me to death.
That's why I stay home and play video games all day because its something interesting to do, plus being on the computer allows me to stay connected with my friends from home.
Plus all my friends play video games as well, so what's wrong with sharing a common interest and engaging in said thing?
Yet my mum still thinks I should do something else even though there isn't anything else.

I might have been in a similar situation.
I finished high school, hadn't really worked much and my plan was to work for a year and then go back to school. After months of looking for work, I started volunteering. Soon after I got a casual job on the weekend, and I've just recently got a full time job (I start tomorrow) If you really can't find any work, there are places where you learn how to make the perfect resume and how to succeed in an interview (I failed a lot of interviews) you can also just find most of the stuff online. And always call employers back. Sorry if that started sounding like a lecture.

creamy (06/17/2012) [-] It is blistering fucking hot out, my mom constantly belittles me and refuses to let me go into any sports because I'm "too weak", no one will employ me, meaning that I can't waste time or get any money to spend, my town has nothing enjoyable to go to except for a public pool that is always full and gross, and I hardly have any friends because they all drifted away from me and don't try to keep in contact with me anymore.

Actually more common than you think. BUT you have to be acting like a retard about it, happend to a friend of mine so I laughed at the stupidity. I think they actually broke their hand O.o not sure. Dropping a bowling ball on a foot is more common than the hand though.

XD Nice drawing. Haha. Well the way my friend did it was holding the bowling ball in the finger hole things (Oh god that does not sound right) and the holes were a bit too big and her fingers slipped out and the bowling ball landed on another friends hand while my friend was sitting and waiting her turn, (woops my bad as I remember it was my other friends had she dropped it on.) Yeah. That is how a bowling ball can break someone's hand. As for dropping a bowling ball on your own hand, I guess it could fall off the rack and onto your hand.
