I know the feel. Took me 45 minutes to get my pick out the bloody f-hole. Scumbag mandolin

It's not THAT hard to get it out. You just have to dance around like an idiot for like an hour or two but eventually it will slip back out.. If you are not as unlucky as me and it gets stuck at the bottom.. I can still see it to this day.. Sitting there.. Mocking me..

I have a solution to this issue, as i have had it myself many times. bounce the pick around the back of the inside, until you can see t through the sound while holding it level in front of you. quickly swing the guitar straight up in an arc and VOILA!! the miracle of science keeps the pick in the same place until you stop the movement, and , if done properly, promptly falls out the hole and hits you in the face. work every time for me.

Happened to me today, it's one of the most irritating and depressing things in the world, right next to stubbing your toe.

I broke a G string fingering A minor.

My acoustic was warped so every time you would play a note on the 5th or 7th fret, all it would do is buzz. The trust rod was stripped so i couldn't fix it. I eventually just sold it at a pawn shop and got $10 to put towards a used amp i bought.

I only fingerpick when I play my acoustic and I use picks when I use my electric. Learn to finger pick, dude.

i had same problem and learned the secret
1. look directly into the sound hole
2. find sticker with a logo or writing or something
3. try to get it the pick as close to the center of the sticker as possible
4. immediately flip guitar face down...pick falls out
5. ???
6. profit
you're welcome

very few of us own acoustics....but i do...and it sucks
User avatar #200 to #198 - nwmirite (06/13/2012) [-]
Really? I play Acoustic/Electric guitar and always thought that the acoustic bass would be fun to try.
#202 to #200 - suburbansoldier (06/13/2012) [-]
Its very diferent, and few situations really call for an acoustic bass (acoustic sets at church, campfires maybe, certain genres) but they are incredibly convenient to have around when you do need one. Michael Kelly's are by far some of the best
#213 to #202 - lujan (06/13/2012) [-]
I think acoustic basses sound a lot more beautiful. I myself am a guitar player, but when I go to a music shop I dabble with the basses and acoustic ones turn me on.
#221 to #213 - suburbansoldier (06/13/2012) [-]
the sound of any instrument is dictated by the person playing it. I could hand a clueless person a perfect fodera bass, plug em in, and then cry myself to sleep that such a terrible sound came from such a beautiful instrument
