I want to record gameplay on my PS3.
There's a lot of game recorders out there.
What video capture card/graphics card will get me the most bang for my buck?
Is Dazzle any good?
User avatar #113460 to #113424 - JustForTheLulz (01/23/2014) [-]
I have an El Gato capture card, and I often get audio sync issues which are probably just an incorrect setting or something. With the massive number of people recording video game gameplay now, recording in anything less than HD will not be worth it as the standards have risen above what they were in maybe 2009. Back then you could easily get away with a Dazzle with optimized settings, but now 720p is basically a requirement. If I were you, I'd go with an El Gato, BMI, or Hauppauge HD PVR.
User avatar #113487 to #113460 - roflstorm (01/23/2014) [-]
I've heard of hauppauge but i've also heard it's pricey
User avatar #113554 to #113487 - JustForTheLulz (01/24/2014) [-]
They're all fairly pricey; if you want to do this and be serious about it, you'll have to have the right equipment, including editing software and a good microphone. The quality standards are high from viewers,
User avatar #113576 to #113554 - roflstorm (01/24/2014) [-]
What i got for a mic is a Blue Snowball iCE condenser w/ 5ft of cable. Ridiculously easy to install and it smooth as silk.
For editing i have window live movie maker, heard that everyone else uses it. Still too dumb to figure out to use it but im trying, DAMNIT!
And what i'm looking for is something that is under $140.00 CAN. Not cheap n shitty or expensive and too complicated for my itty bitty mind and attention span.
I would like to be serious about this. But not Pewdiepie, Roosterteeth, Markiplier or Tobuscus serious. Somewhere in between.

This keeps popping up. Anyone know if it's a virus or something?
#113446 to #113419 - drillaz (01/23/2014) [-]
Browser based annoyances are especially terrible.

My advice is to google everything that has to do with your problem and add 'virus' afterwords. It's most likely not a virus, and people will treat you stupid for calling it one, but it yields the most fruitful results.

If you can't find any help to stop it then follow these steps;
1. Save your bookmarks/frequent pages/add-ons (Or anything you don't want to lose) to a text document on the desktop
2. Download this in-depth uninstaller
www.fileparade.com/listing/122401/Revo%20Uninstaller?did=10844&pid=1&ppd=search,33437902700,revo%20uninstaller,e,,c,0,,,&gclid=CMuB05rMk7wCFczm7AodXnkA0A
3. Uninstall your affected browser and any related material
4. Reinstall browser

You should probably do this as a last resort.

Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? Either the social anxiety or someway to get rid of a lisp?
User avatar #113447 to #113406 - delphine (01/23/2014) [-]
Have you ever seen a speech coach? Can you try and find one? Normally this kind of thing should have been addressed when you were younger. But don't be too self conscious about it. It's like of like if you have a friend with a foreign accent. It might be obvious it at first but after listening to them talk after awhile you don't notice it anymore.

Make light of it so others may feel more comfortable and open to you.
I had a friend with a lisp in high-school, to anyone new he met he would always say "What sort of sick son-of-a-bitch put an "S" in "Lisp" anyway?".
Very few people could keep a straight face.

I don't know how often it's recommended, but I really liked 30 Days of Night. They have the original three printed in one book (omnibus). I think the second three or however many more there are are also in omnibus-form, but I dunno.

Anyhoo, if you don't know about it and/or haven't read them, it's a story about these vampires who go to this town in Alaska (Barrow, Alaska) where the sun sets for thirty days, and it's basically a safe haven for them to just do whatever. I thought it was very good, thrilling, all that jazz.

There are two ways to dehumanize someone: One way is to dismiss them, another is to idolize them. Everyone has flaws, and it sounds like you're putting her up on a pedestal which is unfair to her, because it is setting her up for failure you when you finally do realize her flaws. Be honest about her flaws and take her for who she is. She's a human being, not an angel.

That aside, have her help teach you. Best way to learn a language is to be immersed in it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Please, I am no "nice guy". I know what you mean, and I have done it before to a girl. But, until then, I can honestly spot no flaws with her no matter how hard I try.

Well, the obvious two options would be to sell it as a whole for something of a profit (Depending on how old the components inside are and whether they're outdated or not) then there's the other choice of selling it piece by piece, which I guess would be a lot quicker. But it's up to you :3

I know this is something that probably comes up a lot here, but I feel awfully undesirable. I look myself in the mirror and I don't see a normal person, I see some sort of weird amalgamation of facial features that don't belong on me. This feeling quite drastically lowers my self esteem, and when I try to be confident, I'm told "yeah right" or "suuuure" or something of the sort. It's devastating. Added with the fact that when I have someone that I really care for, that I would give anything to be with, I'm rejected instantly. PS: I'm male and 16.

User avatar #113279 to #113241 - youdontknoeme (01/22/2014) [-]
Everyone has their own perceptions of their looks. Yes, some people are more desirable compared to others, that's life. At the end of the day it's important that your perception of yourself is fair and most of all, balanced.

Don't concentrate on your flaws, give your good parts about yourself in appearance and in personality equal attention too, that's what people see first and that's whats going to make you feel better. (Can't think of anything staight away about yourself as a pro? Give it some time and just be honest with yourself about).

I'm 16 years old too, every teen has their low points and I learnt a lot by going through mine on my own. Just don't think you're the only one that cares about your well being either, that's just as bad.
Being a teen is the building blocks for the rest of your life too, its where you find your place in society, what hobbies/interests you have and how you develop into the person you want to be. You don't want to grow into what you don't want to now, do you?

I know mostly what I said doesn't help at all probably but all I can say that matters is that you're not the only one to go through this, there's people who feel/felt the same way as well so keep you chin up hot stuff <3
