Clear Soul Forces Fab Five 2015 Full Album

This album deserves a lot more attention than it's gotten. If you like rap you should give it a listen.

plot twist: it isn't actually cheery, BUT it is fooking brootal.
and that makes me really happy.
really though, this record is insanely heavy.

FALLBRAWL On fire Official Video Just adding something to the thread. I dislike many, many things about Beatdown, but while there´s harder and more brutal stuff,I feel like it´s pretty mucht he heaviest genre around. Most songs feel like a fucking hydraulic press.

eh. that sounds like generic metalcore to me. i grew up listening to stuff like this, both better and worse. breakdowns have become just sooo stale, plus the squeaky clean production and performance doesn't really help their case. kinda throws this into bro-core tier. imo, not even close to "heaviest genre around". this is like, dance music for metal(core)heads

Also there already is dance music for metalcore people. The whole electronica/disco meats core-stuff.

Well, Beatdown is pretty much Bro-Core. Only thing more "Bro-Core" I could think of would be Emmure.
Might have been a bad example, it was the first band out of the genre that came to mind.

Might only be my definition of heavy, too, tho. Stuff like the guy below posted, especially Revenge (one of my favorite BM-Bands around) is harder and all, but I don´t get the "heavy" feeling out of it. That´s something I only really see in Beatdown despite not really liking it that much personally.

pretty glasses. optic ofc, i've got a lil' bit of astigmatism. nothing too serious, but i still wear them most of the time. old ones were scratched to hell, so getting new ones really makes one appreciate the beauty of crystal clear sight. the world looks so much nicer now.

and it IS dank, it's utter monolithic doom-heaviness done right. and it's got a surprising amount of different sounds for this genre of metal, like a lil' bit of noise to math-metal.

There was this animated music video that was telling a story, it was very scooby-doo -ish , 1 male, 1 female, 1 something , they go into a castle where they find a previous member of their band (who looks like fred from scooby doo a bit imo) has turned undead and is chasing them around.
Turned out that the living male had pushed the undead before, killing him, in order to eliminate him as a love rival , with the lovei nterest being the female obviously.

I'm sure I've seen this plenty of times on FJ and that the story was followed up by another musical video.

Please link/tell me the name of the song.

it's k. it's got a psychedelic vibe going on. i really like how you used the electric guitars on the second half (from 5:15 and on). add some more of a climax and it could get hella epic.

though like the peevs said, it can be a bit repetitive. the sounds are not textured and dynamic enough (specially on the first half) to justify the song length (though it's two songs, no? it's got an awkward cut halfway in), so focusing more on the songwriting could be really useful, to make every second count.

well duh, it was recorded with a headset (I shit you not, I just threw a headset on the floor in front of the amp)
Also, the first track is basically one long folkish guitar solo.

/music/ i could really use your help.

I have been thinking about a song lately i dont know the melody but i remember the video.
There is a guy (i think he was black) walking around an underground parking garage late at night, then there is a guy in the background following him. He doesn't notice him until turns around for whatever reason.

He is a visibly nervous and starts speeding up. After a littel while another guy starts following him. Hey notices him too and starts speeding up even more The music also starts getting faster. . Later on more and more people start following until it is an entire mob. He then starts running and the others chase him.

They are outside now and the guy runs into a dead end. The turns around to face his stalkers. Then he makes a step forward to them. The mob make a step backwards and then he starts chasing them.

The video ends at this point.

Those anyone know that music video?

Making music is the only thing I've ever wanted to do and the only thing I've ever felt I could understand at a higher level. Yet I feel so behind. I live in America and society makes me feel worthless when I have no other skills.

it's ok man, i can relate. but if you're 20 years old like your profile says, then i think you're still really young and have a long way ahead of you, so there's really no need to feel anxious about it. you have to put effort into what you love of course, but that takes time and dedication, there's no rushing.

you don't need to have "other skills", you shouldn't feel worthless. just know, you are on the age of learning more that ever, specially if you concentrate on a certain field, so use that to know how to get around as a musician. to become proficient at it. so work hard, try new things, become experienced. you'll see yourself grow as a musician if you put enough effort into it.

and, in my opinion, the artist has the need to become egocentric in a way, only like that art can be honest and passionate. don't worry about society and stuff like that, concentrate on what you are, have and wanna be. it's not about ignoring it, but about seeing it all in function of yourself, not what others dictate.

and i believe that the cover artwork is made by jesse kanda, visual artist that has collaborated multiple times with him, along with the likes of bjork for her "mouth mantra" music video. it's pretty neat indeed: You need to login to view this link

I listened to this Yoni & Geti collab and it's pretty cool. A lot better than Sisyphus I I think.

I've only listened to it two times now, but I'd say part 2: Metaflesh. But I think part 1 and 3 work great as "outro" and "intro", respectively.
However, I personally prefer Contradiction over Triangle. For me Contradiction feels more diverse, whilst still having a strong overarching atmosphere, whereas Triangle tends to at times get a bit repetitive imo.

Get out of here, OLD MAN!

Nils Petter Molvaer is one that I've been listening to occasionally since you showed it to me. I listened to ultrablue's 2 recs to me in the past couple days too, both were pretty sweet but I'll listen to them to get a more solid impression. I revisited some old ones like Sun Glitters and Juj too. I had to listen to Plains of the Purple Buffalo as I drove up through Denver into the Rockies yesterday.

So beautiful, the melody, the drumming, Bruces singing is on another level. The pure, raw power and emotion is so perfect for this song. IRON MAIDEN CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED HQ
