What are albums you guys are looking forward to that come out later this year? I'm pretty excited for Kill It Kid, Titus Andronicus, and Mastodon to release their new stuff.

I want similar music to this:
【BIOMEGAバイオメガ(弐瓶勉先生作品)】イメージ曲(オリジナル)
Kind of heavy instrumental not too digital, love the guitars and bass. I don't want any metal shit. Last time I asked for a calm song by a metal band I was given symphony of destruction or something and it sounded like a fucking monster reading bible lines to a very repetative riff.
Needs to have this darker tone to it

I haven't really checked Pallbearer, I only know they have a good reputation in the sludge scene, speaking of Agalloch, did you like their new album? it was meh to me, 6.5/10, Pitchfork gave it a 8.2, seriously, I don't know how Pitchfork can be so generous with their ratings, the only song that's really worth mentioning is Celestial Effigy.

man, so much bullshit, bias, and alternative motives going on, i don't take anything they rate seriously, but instead, maybe, just as a reference on "its cool to like this" scale. Just look at their tool ratings, for example.

Man, did you see how Pitchfork and the Rolling Stone magazine named Deafheaven's Sunbather as the best "metal" album of 2013, dude I was so fucking pissed, I mean I really liked Sunbather, but that shit's not a metal album, to me the best metal album of 2013 was Lycus' Tempest

as i said, I'm meh on harsh vocals, so I don't really "follow metal" since i don't really like most new stuff which incorporates it. I'm more a Hard Rock kinda guy, but i try to listen to as much guitar music as i can enjoy. I haven't really given Sunbather nor Lycus' a try.

Elder - Gemini Harsh vocals aren't really new anyway, they've been around since 1993 or pretty much any black metal band that has been around since the late 80's.

By the way, if you're into hard rock you may like a handful of stoner bands out there, since stoner usually has hard rock influences.

It's plunderphonics, music made by sampling and editing existing audio. A lot of people clal it ambient, which you should know what that is by now, however it's not very ambient-ish, considering it doesn't sound like robert rich or steve roach

I can't explain it man. It's crazy.
