Marty left because Dave was a dick and let no one have input, those two left because of the same reason, why would Marty come back if nothing has changed?
I have no respect for Mustaine. He is a monumental dick.

You're not wrong there and I wouldn't blame him for telling him to fuck off, but Marty wanted to do his own thing and slow down a little, but Dave didn't want that.

But either way, you don't have to be smart to know Dave is a dick. But I can't blame him for protecting Megadeth because he built it from the ground up and ultimately made it back from being booted from Metallica and I have respect for the guy in some ways, but not others.

What a surprise. You really have to wonder how Mustaine doesn't get tired of being a dick for 30+ years. But no, leave Mary gone. Who cares, it's been like 16 years or so.

Marty wrote like like 15 songs in his tenure with deth. And Most of those were in Risk and Cryptic Writings. And most of those had him share credits with Mustaine and someone else.

He was still a good writer.

And his solos. I've never felt so much soul and feeling in s metal solo. He just knows how to put emphasis in a bend and just times it so well.

I mean he's still writing decent albums now, Tokyo Jukebox was really good.

I don't know about "soul" but yes, his solo on Symphony is one of my favourite solos of all time. But still, I don't want Megadeth to go back to the well ever. That's what I like -and sometimes hate- about them. They have only done albums really similar to one another twice: Youthanasia and Countdown and then System and Abominations. But they always do something new, for good or for ill I would much rather see them get someone new. But if they also get Menza then I'm all on board for Friedman to come back.

I'd just like to see what they'd produce. I don't necessarily want Rust in Peace 2. I want something new, just with Marty's style with Dave's rhythm is perfect for me.

I must admit they do produce something new each time, which I like too.

Preference things that are electronic ambient (but not way too static ambient, something that also has a good sequence of rhythms) and piano pieces. heya guys, i really need help/advice on my new violin i just bought. i play guitar fairly well and know music theory but i cannot seem to grasp the whole violin situation. I know it's just been one day and i understand very well that it might take weeks befor i can feel somewhat comfortable holding the instument, but is there any advice you guys can give a brand new, newest of noobs in starting off? like what excercises can i do or what scales would you recommend? i undestand you need to start off with colored tape to get in tune with the correct/precise finger position, but i am somewhat poor and cannot afford an instructor :'( thank you guys in advance!!

Make sure you're learning correct fingerings/ technique or it will be a pain in the ass later down the line. There are likely guides on the internet.
Don't expect tone to develop quickly - it will take a LONG time.
Learn to read sheet music on the instrument. Maybe start off with a study book? There are loads of beginner books in music shops. Study books go from grades 1-8 in a whole book (UK based grading system) so they won't get old and useless fast to save money.

There's often sheet music in libraries. If you're a student there almost always is in your college/ uni library, just ask a librarian. That way you can take photocopies.

If you've got a guitar tuner you can put it on your violin to see you're not off-tune all the time. On how to hold your stuff there's many methods, I've been told the one I use resembles the "Suzuki method" so I'd say go with that one. The internet can probably give you the info you need by looking that one up.

Sure, let's see here... In no order:

Bayside - The Walking Wounded
Anti-Flag - For Blood and Empire
Thrice - The Alchemy Index
Bonobo - Black Sands
Boards of Canada - Music Has a Right to Children
Aesop Rock - Labor Days
Dance Gavin Dance - Downtown Battle Mountain
System of a Down - Toxicity
Enter Shikari - Common Dreads
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea

I'm glad there's a thread about this because I was JUST thinking about making a post about ITAOTS and just talking about how much I like it and how it is the one "hipster" "internet" album that I think deserves its reputation for being good, even if it is mocked these days because of that.

Also, a lot of these aren't my favorite albums by said artists, but they are the ones I think people should listen to, to understand an artists manifesto if you will; for example, not my favorite Aesop Rock album, but Labor Days is definitely his call to arms. Same with BoC, I just think MHTRTC is definitely what you need to listen to if you want to understand their shtick. These aren't all in my top 10 of all time (some of them are) but they are just things that I think are essential, some because of how well written I think they are, some because of the message, some because they are really unique (imo) and some a combination of all of those.

Anyways... yeah. lol.

Kid A is an experiment which is a fusion of electronic music and rock music. Something that hadn't really been done to an extent till then. It's experimentation with the synthesis www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RwvZSfLUXM like on this song is something that hasn't really been heard of, even in experimental electronic music. It truly is an unique album that is a good representation of electronic music in my opinion.

how can you not like Trout mask its every music enthusiast delight, pure genius complex structures and is just so enjoyable and funny.

I hate Iggy Azalea with an unspeakable passion. This sour cream colored Australian piece of shit just won best rap artist at the AMA's. I know the AMA's is the most fake award show ever, but it just drives me up a wall that some giraffe neck, untalented, wonder bread colored bitch would win BEST RAP ARTIST OVER EMINEM AND DRAKE. Many of you probably hate Drake- i like him. I also know for a fact that Eminem is wayyyy more talented than Iggy. What do you guys think?
