Fame and fortune isn't what everyone wants.
He killed himself because he thought people didn't understand him. Which is something a lot of people struggle with and have trouble overcoming.
He also did a fuck ton of heroin.
Which, for one, it's hard to quit. And for two, when you're off of it, your life feels like shit for a while.
User avatar #117750 to #117748 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
So what? He got paid to play his shitty music, he got to live off of his shitty music and he got to buy that leadbelly guitar he wanted, that was pretty alright. I'm not talking about money and fame, but the dude fancied himself a troubadour so he got to do what he loved. Also, I really don't need lessons on heroin, thank you very much.

If you completed psychology you would probably understand what I mean...

... That's precisely, exactly, literally what I fucking said.
"Kurt Cobain had a pretty sweet life, though, he was just depressed so it meant nothing to him but I mean."

User avatar #117758 to #117754 - darksideofthebeast (06/17/2014) [-]
I did read that part, silly.

I beg you, I urge you. I implore of you. Go back, the words "suicide" "reason" or "kill" do not appear once in my texts. Not once. His life, was, objectively, better than most people. He was depressed, he had an_ illness_ that prohibited him from seeing it, that doesn't change the fact that he _won the fucking lottery. I didn't say more, or less.
User avatar #117763 to #117762 - darksideofthebeast (06/17/2014) [-]
Yea, but you're telling me stuff I already know.
I don't need a lesson in human actions, thank you very much.
User avatar #117764 to #117763 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
It's not a lesson. It's a counterpoint. Shall I go back and break things sentence by sentence?

"Even though I hate Nirvana's typical fans and the fact that_ they all think their life is shitty like kurt cobains_ while they're typing it on their ipad.
And I've never really cared for Nirvana, but this song is really nice.
I particularly love the chorus."

"Kurt Cobain had a pretty sweet life, though, he was just depressed so it meant nothing to him but I mean."

What I was saying, again, because reading is very obviously not your forte. Is that their lives probably are as, if not more, unfortunate than Kurt Cobain's. Just statistically that'd be true if Cobain were some random bloke from Pennsylvania, tenfold it's true given he was a rockstar.
User avatar #117767 to #117764 - darksideofthebeast (06/17/2014) [-]
Yea, some peoples lives are worse.
But he did heroin and that made it a thousand times more shitty. Granted it was his fault, but that is something that is very difficult to break (I know you don't need lessons, I'm sorry if I displease the master) and it makes you depressed and worse than a typical depression.

So no, not many of his fans have worse lives, some do, not all. He got to play his music, but external stimulation isn't the only thing we need to keep us happy.

It plays a a big role in it, but it's not all.

Once you have a chemical imbalance you see your life as much worse than it is.
Not many people have a true reason to commit suicide and neither did he. But you're failing to put yourself in his head.
User avatar #117769 to #117767 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
"Once you have a chemical imbalance you see your life as much worse than it is. "
much worse than it is.
That, that, precisely, exactly that is what I've been saying for this whole time. Perception is not the same as reality. I'm not saying he didn't have a reason, again. Or that he was misguided for being misserable. I'm saying that he felt his life was much worse than it actually was. It wasn't a bad life, he just didn't see it that way, for completely valid reasons, but it was still a fail of perception.

No, you didn't. This is your whole first comment "Even though I hate Nirvana's typical fans and the fact that they all think their life is shitty like kurt cobains while they're typing it on their ipad.
And I've never really cared for Nirvana, but this song is really nice.
I particularly love the chorus." In where the only comment is about Nirvana's fans and how they'd like to have a shitty life. There's zero actual comment on Cobain.
User avatar #117774 to #117772 - darksideofthebeast (06/17/2014) [-]
But my point was that Kurt did have a worse life.
You're failing to understand or you're not the one reading. I said that external stimulation is not what makes a life good.

That is not the only thing required to be happy.

Yes. After I specified that he had a good life, but was sick so he didn't see it as such. I think you don't understand Shining properly. You say that Shining is one of the worst bands you've ever listened to or something like that - or really bad - either way, it was negative. I think you're wrong. Shining is about self-awareness and spiritual awakening. Creation through destruction.
User avatar #117656 to #117652 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
"You don't get it" is always the worst argument in favour of anything. No exceptions. Even if someone's opinion on something is based on a "misinterpretation" of the material, there's not any actual proof that they "get it" any more than you do. Especially when neither is advocating for a specific message so much as for self-awareness.
User avatar #117662 to #117656 - indone (06/17/2014) [-]
It's more that they have a very one-sided view of it, buddy. I listen to what Kvarforth explicitly states, not what some forum kiddies say. I read the lyrics. I make interpretations. I'm not claiming to have absolute knowledge, but I am probably closer to the correct interpretation (if it exists; I do believe you can be more or less correct even in opinions like these) that he is given that he doesn't really have nuanced opinions, just generalized whims like I hear from basically everyone else.

User avatar #117670 to #117668 - indone (06/17/2014) [-]
Not really. So, what was the point of creating the initial comment, berating my argument, if you don't even care about arguing my ideas?

Forum kiddies was just that, an expression. It's a sweeping generalization of the people who express their opinions on matters like these, because they usually lack deeper thought, they just want to criticize.

All in all, your loss.

I cared, a bit, when I thought there was nuance and room for argument there. Not a rivalry and vitriol to any who dares challenge.

User avatar #117684 to #117678 - indone (06/17/2014) [-]
But there is. It's not really vitriol nor rivalry, these people just annoy me. It's akin to these random kids who have discovered some "buddhist quantum particle meditation" and think they understand quantum physics. They have no idea what is actually going on. Why should I take these people seriously? I'm not just talking about you or him, I'm talking about all the people on YouTube who go "y he no kl hmself ef lyf es sufring" (you may think I'm satirizing their typing with that, but it's actually pretty close on YouTube..) and think that is the master argument against this kind of music.

It's not that I don't 'care' for nuance, it's just that my view of the people who criticize this music isn't nuanced yet because I have never seen anyone offer actual criticism except for the generic "it's different"

I don't remember the details of that conversation, but I do remember I failed miserably to argue it. That was the past me though, I've changed since. I do remember YOUR arrogance in it though. You said "If we may not enjoy the universe, it might as well shrink up and die" or something. Isn't it kind of arrogant to assume that we're the only ones who enjoy living in the universe? You are way too humano-centric in your views. You invalidated chickens as 'useless animals'. What is useless to you?

On this subject, I DO know what is going on though and other people have displayed their ignorance. I believed in antinatalism mostly because of personal incredulity anyway.

Easier said than done. Arrogance runs in the family and when you are forced to interact with people who are beyond your level all day, you become kind of arrogant. Not saying I won't try, but it's hard.

"do some random retarded thing?"
What is random and retarded now?

I was reflecting on the music today when I listened to it and I enjoyed it more than I usually did.
No one's perfect. Kvarforth is probably.. a bit over the top, but he does what he does well. So, you call them bad, even though they have plenty solos and bone-chilling riffs, emotive screams, the songs are split up into different parts so it's a special experience, and multiple instruments? Why do you think they are bad music-wise? The lyrics are about loss, pain, grief, as he said in "I och med Insikt skall du Förgå" "Shining's just the pain of being human, here and now". It's an expression. They choose to express these feelings of pain and misery while most other people express happy and good feelings, which I think is a good contrast. As I see it, humans need something negative in their life to express their anger and hatred so that you don't spill it out on people directly. Kvarforth sorta does both though...

Why do you think they're terrible musically wise?

Also, I think there's an unhealthy stigma on 'being edgy' in this society. I don't conform. I can understand conforming to some point, and I get why it's needed, but I don't need it. Why can't we just recognize that humans are pretty angry, brash and bitter creatures, generally? I don't hate anyone for that; it's who they are, evolution has shaped them that way over hundreds of thousands of years.
User avatar #117746 to #117665 - testaburger (06/17/2014) [-]

Decent humans? So, your standards for what is decent is what rules the universe? What if this guy has a family that loves him and friends that love him too? You don't even know why this person believes what he does, you haven't asked him. Everyone has reasons to believe what they believe. Everyone. They may be flawed, but they are still reasons.

You have a very simple view of misanthropy. I have an idea on what I'd like to call the "empathic misanthrope" who is a person who at core hates the way humans act to eachother, but still wants to help and does his best and loves individual humans and not humanity as a whole.

Tastes differ, man. Imo, the solos are mediocre at best compared to other bands, the riffs are forgettable and the screams...well, Kvaforth got one of the most annoying voices in BM, imo. And when I think about vocals that manage to perfectly show emotions, I just can´t help myself but compare Kvaforth to the likes of Sage Francis, La Dispute´s Jordan Dreyer, Greg Jamie of O´Death or the likes...and well, he can´t even compare.
And what the lyrics are concerned - as I said, I don´t know too much about them, but if you have the leissure time to have a Band, a place to life and bread to eat, you shouldn´t be that edgy. DSBM make it look like the world and the people are pure and utter scum, which, while coming close, just isn´t true.

Also, edgy isn´t what you think I mean by it. Edgy, in my opinion, is to found a band, sing about how bad everything is, paint your face and cut yourself up in front of people. That´s just embarrassing. Kvaforth isn´t even a person anymore, he´s just an image.
User avatar #117697 to #117694 - indone (06/17/2014) [-]
I don't know who any of those people you listed are, so that means moot to me. Can you describe their way of singing, then?

I know that DSBM is an overreaction, but it's close. Close, then it would be about 70-80% right.

"but if you have the leisure time to have a band, a place to live and bread to eat, you shouldn't be that edgy".
So, what you're saying is that if you have OK living standards, you still can't complain about how evil, hollow and false people are? Life may be alright for us sheltered people; but we've built our lives upon the backs of others and we don't even recognize. Kvarforth is doing God's work in that he's being raw and shocking, which is sometimes needed to jolt your average drone into action. Sadly, 'your average drone' can also take the songs 'personally' and commit suicide, which happens a lot.

We strive for inner consistency, no? If he really believes that, then he is just being himself.

Have you heard the song "Längtar Bort från mitt Hjärta"? Or "Besvikelsens Dystra Monotoni"? Or the (whole song not just the intro) song "I Och Med Insikt skall du Förgå"?
User avatar #117704 to #117697 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
You can´t describe the way someone sings. Just listen intoone song of those Bands.
Also, K.Flay, she´s pretty incredible in bringing over emotions in some of her songs:

Not really - I mean, okay, there is incredible fucked up shit around, but walk around your hometown for half an hour. How many things do you see that fit Shinings view on life and how many nice things do you see?
That´s not waht I´m saying - of cause you can complain. But playing it like EVERYTHING is wrong and the world is completely lost is not only embarrassing and idiotic, it´s simply dumb. You can´t be deep and interesting like Shining want to be while painting the world completely black without recognizing that there´s white and grey, too.

No idea if I have. I´ve only ever listened to one record completely and seen them live twice (one time when Kvaforth got his face punched in for being an insufferable twat, which was a nice thing to see after he nearly broke my finger with his fucking micro when I was waiting in the front row for the next band to play when I saw him the first time)
User avatar #117654 to #117652 - indone (06/17/2014) [-]
A video where he promptly disparages all the losers who use Shining as a way to be 'unique and cool'. Shining is something you get into for yourself, not for anyone else.
This is, to me, a song about defunct relationship with God. "Let us Take Everything from Eachother"
Examples; he sings about Hell. "My doom .. came early.. and without pardon... and the judgement shall also fall upon you who is without belief.." (This person randomly died and went to Hell, maybe from a car crash or other chance-related thing and the atheists shall also die and go to Hell) "In this, my alter ego finds solace... and sadistic pleasure in that we're all going to be caressed by the gentle love ... of the flames! In eternity." as obvious as obvious can be. This person preaches about the 'love of God', but secretly fears him and loathes people who are nonbelievers and uses religion as a tool to judge and condemn people.

The title, I think, is a reference to how this person experiences cognitive dissonance. One the one hand, he believes God will help him from his bad life and on the other, he believes God will punish those people who he personally detests. This is, to me, a much deeper song than it appears. He uses 'real' emotion too, which you can see and feel throughout the song. Then again, this is just my interpretation. The part at 3:30 is truly and utterly orgasmic though, especially if you understand the words. So, it probably speaks extra much to me as a Swede. I'm biased like that, of course, but I think anyone can learn to appreciate this kind of music.
User avatar #117657 to #117654 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
"but I think anyone can learn to appreciate this kind of music"

Okay, firstly, sorry for not going into the first part of your comment right now, but I just came back from England and a Festival yesterday, I´m sick and haven´t had any calm sleep in a week. I´ll come back to it in 2, 3 days.

But considering that part. You misunderstood me - I AM into this kind of music. I love a shitload of Black Metal, be it War, Blackthrash, Atmospheric, etc, etc. I just think that DSBM represents the worst side of the genre, being edgy and angsty as fuck.

Also I don´t know jack shit about their lyrics, I just think they´re terrible music-wise and are assholes, personality-wise...at least he singer.

I´m actually one of those people who don´t care too much about lyrics - nothing against those, who do, but I personally can´t fully agree with ANY lyrics. But I like a load of music that has lyrics that I find disgusting/laughable/definitely completely wrong - so I just ignore it. I can and do appreciate great lyrics, but they´re not necessary for me to enjoy a band/song. If they were, I´d be pretty much unable to enjoy ANY music fully.

It's alright. Get rest and save this for when you have energy and gung-ho.

Uh.. I understand. Well, black metal is almost all about being hard-core and edgy about war and misanthropy and whatnot.. It's just that Kvarforth expresses it in a special way, since most people are like "THEWORLDISWRONG", while he is like "WEAREWRONG". I don't think Kvarforth thinks of himself as a 'good person', even though he does a whole lot of good.

I like it. it's fun. But it doesn't seem to be a cohesive theme, a lot of the times It seems the track might as well have started there without the preceding bits. Both because of what I feel to be ineffective transitions and that you don't finish a phrase before going on to the next. Like at 0:45 where the wave sounds come in, it doesn't feel like you ended what came before or transformed it into a gateway for what's coming next. Same at 1:55. I really do like the material, however, I just don't think it's connected well.
User avatar #117671 to #117666 - therealsuperderpy ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
0:45 is reverse transitioned it stops the lead brings in the bass then fades the lead back in, it's a pretty common thing in build ups and bridges so it's intentionally supposed to be like that.
1:55 I guess, but like most 2 drop songs just fade back to their intro
User avatar #117679 to #117671 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
I know what they are, I just don't think it works. They're either too sudden or just don't enter gradually enough for it to feel like a stop and start. It feels like just throwing bits together.

Well okay but could you be more specific with 0:45 in particular
I brought up the white noise a lot and volume slightly to show an oncoming increase intensity it sounds pretty gradual to me, but I wanna know what you're talking about I'm curious.
User avatar #117683 to #117682 - thebestpieever ONLINE (06/17/2014) [-]
I feel like the melody ends a bit too late. It shuts up for a quarter of a second then off it goes again. So it feels like it was meant to go on but someone just forgot what was next. I also feel it's a bit weird because the earlier section was all light and spry and bubbly and then it stops for this weird heavy bass and drum and then goes back to the bubbly. It feels as though it should be reversed to make a heavy to bubbly linear transition or vice versa.

It's just that heavy bass that comes out follows through the whole song earlier when i was making it I tried fading it in and it didn't work at all it didn't hit hard enough and the whole song just felt empty and boring.
And starting with it would still just make the song boring.
And it I added the bubbly lead with it then the second build up wouldn't be different.

Getting some external VSTs would help too.
My favorites are Sylenth1, Sausage fattener, Ozone, Nexus, FM8, Z3ta+ and Battery
Mind you FM8 is a lot of routing and hard to use.
Also there NI Massive it's kind of over done, but it's pretty useful especially for beginners.

However seamlesss only goes over base FL VSTs so you'd have to either self learn or look up serperate tutorials.
User avatar #117813 to #117647 - shibe ONLINE (06/18/2014) [-]
Sytrus is a lot like FM8 but easier, and it comes with FL Studio rokkai, so there you go.

Also sausage fattener is fucking stupid get a good distortion vst like You need to login to view this link camelcrusher or ohmicide

I second Sylenth1, it's basically a essential to beginners because it sounds really good and it's really easy to use.

Only use nexus if you're a talentless fuckwit who has no friends :^), jk it's a sample tool sure but it really only works well for you if you're making cheesy dance music and plus as far as I know you can only use the sounds they give you, can't really make your own.

Ozone is amazing, and it's pretty simple to use, I highly recommend it.

Battery is neat if you have a drum pad or whatever, some MPC, but if you don't you can still use it, it's just more of a hassle.

You need to login to view this link This is also really helpful, lots of vsts for free and they're all decent.

ITT: Cool album listening experiences. Times when you've listened to an album in the perfect setting/atmosphere.

Baths - Obsidian
I wasn't feeling like sleeping one night last summer, so I decided to stay up and listen to this album as the sun came up over the lake I live next to. I started it just before sunrise, and as the album went on, the sunlight slowly made its way down the eastern face of the hills across the lake from me, and the fog that was sitting over it slowly blew away.
Baths - Miasma Sky

Biosphere - Substrata
This was actually the first time I'd ever listened to this album. I'd heard it was very cold and wintry, so I figured a walk across the freshly frozen lake would be the perfect time to check it out. The lake surface was completely frozen over for the first time this winter, and there were a couple inches of black ice, which was almost totally smooth and you could see right through it. The night before, a little bit of snow had fallen, and was blowing around the surface as I was making my way down the lake to a friend's house.
Biosphere - Substrata - 02 Poa Alpina

Shlohmo - Vacation Remixes
I was down on a coastal island in Florida during a meteor shower when I listened to this one. Nobody else there wanted to go out and watch it, so I rode my bike around the island by myself and watched for meteors, eventually getting to the beach and laying on the sand and looking at the sky around 3:00 am, and seeing a green sea turtle going back into the water from the beach.

Black Sabbath - "13" [Deluxe Edition] [Full Album With Lyrics] Not a huge fan of the album but I had bought the special edition of 13, I was tired off my mind, I was alone in the house, it was almost sunset. I put it on, poured myself a freezing glass of lemonade and sat down to listen to it. It isn't particularly great but I couldn't think of that. It just swept me off my feet and took me for a ride. I was so tired and the illumination and ambient made such a combination that it really took me to a weird, dark, magical place for an hour. By the end it was completely dark and the only thing piercing the dark was the slashing guitars and the pounding drums. And it truly felt like I'd been taken on a special journey to somewhere else, somewhere magical and lugubrious.

Ohrenbetäubende Stille - N°1
Just tonight, there was a heat lightning storm brewing outside. I decided to go out and watch it but the view from my street was shitty and the storm was moving away. So, I drove down a main row where I could see over the trees and followed it. This music I think fit well with seeing bolts fly across the night sky.
Ohrenbetäubende Stille - Szene 1 (Abschied)

Lemon Jelly - KY
A few summers ago, I remember for a couple weeks after my college semester had ended I kept waking up early despite going to bed late, and I never felt tired waking up that early. So, I walked around the lake almost every day as long as it was sunny as hell outside and played this album among others. I clearly remember this one playing a few times though as I had just gotten into it. Perfect sunny day strolling music. Makes me miss that summer a lot.
Lemon Jelly - A Tune For Jack

Bibio - Vignetting The Compost
This was one of the albums I played on the 3 hour drive home at night from college. It was dark and chilly as it was Xmas break I was coming home for. As I drove a dark stretch down the highway with no cars around me, I saw meteors occasionally darting across the sky, and I had no idea there was going to be a meteor shower that night. Everything was perfect because being right before Xmas, I was already feeling very happy and this all just added to the effect.

Well, that's what I'm saying. Punk rock rarely has a lot of melodies running at the same time, vocals are simple and the bass is given the spotlight but in its own seculded space. Math Ruck tends to have various melodies running at the time. Punk Rock always runs on 3/4 or 4/4/. Math Rock's shtick is heavily dependant on odd time signatures. Punk Rock has a love affair with power chords and doesn't care for dissonance. Math Rock embraces dissonant chords and is friends with power chords. Also, that whole changing time signatures would have given most punk bands a heart attack back in the day.

But it is not. Because Punk is not even a starting point, it's not even a point in the graph. It doesn't exist. You're breaking up with Punk but Punk is in another continent having a wank and doesn't even know you.

Northlane - Quantum Flux [Official Video] Northlane is love, Northlane is life

This is metalcore, so if you don't like that genre of music, don't listen to it.

Try listening to the other songs on the Singularity album, such as Masquerade. I like them, but not everyone shares the same tastes. I try to give everything a chance
User avatar #117567 to #117563 - kaisakuenkou (06/17/2014) [-]
>I try to give everything a chance
then why would you tell people to not listen to the rest of an entire genre?
User avatar #117569 to #117567 - kanaka (06/17/2014) [-]
For closed minded people. Believe it or not, they exist.
User avatar #117570 to #117569 - kaisakuenkou (06/17/2014) [-]
Then why are you basically enabling them to stay close minded

If they're already closed minded, chances are they are going to stay closed minded. I'm not saying everyone should try it. I saw fukkendragonite already liked metalcore, so I continued with him. I only said I try to give every genre a chance.
User avatar #117565 to #117563 - fukkendragonite (06/16/2014) [-]
I'm kinda kidding tbh. Not a fan but I never write anyone off if they play a style of music I normally like, if you know what I mean..?

I'll try again one day, I promise

What are some hardcore bands you like?
User avatar #117568 to #117566 - fukkendragonite (06/17/2014) [-]
Hardcore or metalcore? Hardcore not so much. Cancer Bats, Palm Reader, Finch. Think they count as "post-hardcore" more though.

Metalcore is different, and i'm into the more mainstream shit. Bring Me The Horizon, early A7x, Architects, A Day To Remember, Parkway Drive etc...
User avatar #117636 to #117568 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
Always hated BmtH and still heavily dislike the older shit...but damn, Sempiternal has some awesome stuff...
User avatar #117638 to #117636 - fukkendragonite (06/17/2014) [-]
Got back from watching them at Download Festival a few days ago. They played on Saturday. They were fucking great. 8 songs from Sempiternal, 2 from Suicide Season. They know people wanna hear Sempiternal lol
User avatar #117639 to #117638 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
I know, saw them too. Dislocated my foot during the final song, tho, no idea how, so I missed the end.

The singers voice was kinda shit, tho, is it normal that he looses his voice twice during every line?
User avatar #117645 to #117639 - fukkendragonite (06/17/2014) [-]
He can't scream like he used to. But trust me, his voice has improved from like 2-3 years ago. Vocally he went from awesome, to shit, to okay-ish. I mean, back in the early days he could really scream and growl, but the music they were making was properly fucking shit. Now the music is better but because he puts so much into his performance, he's burning his voice out. That's why he had to learn to sing for Sempiternal, because one day BMTH will be all singing with little to no harsh vocals, just like A7x did.
User avatar #117646 to #117645 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
A7x where kinda embarrassing, to be honest.
Ah, okay, so similar to Kreator...their singer used his voice wrong in the beginning, too, nearly lost the ability to sing...well, let´s hope that his voice gets better, too, because while I enjoy the new album, the breaks in his voice kinda made the show hard to watch.

What else did ya see?
User avatar #117651 to #117646 - fukkendragonite (06/17/2014) [-]
I thought a7x were fucking brilliant. I'm a big Avenged fan and they put on a great show.

And yeah, pretty much like Mille Petrozza in Kreator. Their early stuff is heavier deathcore so he was growling and screaming from the throat and not the diaphragm. Which burns your voice out, hence why his screams are so breathy and broken now. If you watch a video of them doing the song "Pray For Plagues" live in the last few years and compare it to the album version all those years ago back in 2006, you see the damage has been done to his throat.

I saw Rob Zombie, thought he was good. Seether were also great, as were Linkin Park. Lost my mind with nostalgia when they played Hybrid Theory in full. Saw some of Trivium and then the last hour of Aerosmith. KIllswitch Engage kicked ass. Dave McPherson on the acoustic stage, Skindred started shitty but ended up alright, Skyharbor in the 4th stage tent were alright. Black Stone Cherry's secret set on 3rd stage was great even though I'm not a fan.
User avatar #117653 to #117651 - ljxjlos (06/17/2014) [-]
I actually thought they kinda looked like twats and sounded like Average Sevenfold.D But well, I guess tastes differ.D

Ah, okay - I´ll see them another time in 3 weeks, I´ll see how it looks, then. Either way, I enjoy their new stuff on record.

Missed Rob, actually, just saw the end of the gig, some songs after Sick Bubblegum, but I´ll see him again, too, so no problem. Seether actually don´t ring a bell. And yeah, Linkin Park were incredible, I never thought I´d be able to enjoy them that much.

I only watched 10 minutes of Trivium because I wanted to see Aerosmith from minute one on and it was definitely worth it. I love Trivium, but I haven´t got into their newest record yet.
Skindred where kinda lame compared to when I last saw them they kill when they play in a small tent/club - everything gets destroyed. On the main stage, they lost a shitload of their power ...but when the Crossfaith-Singer joined in for Warning, everything was okay again.
I actually only know one song of Black Stone Cherry. Wish I knew they were playing:/
User avatar #117689 to #117653 - fukkendragonite (06/17/2014) [-]
I'm really not a fan of Black Stone Cherry but they blew the roof off of the Pepsi Max tent. It was a secret set but a lot of people knew for weeks haha.

Did you stay and watch the World Cup game after the music on Saturday? That was a laugh
