System Of A Down - Aerials
Still one of the most profound System songs, next to Hypnotize.
Serj is also great, one of my favourite Serj songs are "Borders Are..."

Weird, but not bad. Very melodic and nice. The lyrics are a bit too... emo though. I'm not sure if I'm just in that judgement, since I listen to stuff that could be considered emo by a lot of people.. but.. whatever. It's not bad and sad music is not 'emo' I guess.

This reminds me a bit of They Might Be Giants, have you heard of them?
User avatar #121225 to #121224 - shibe (07/09/2014) [-]
I don't see how they're emo, they are pretty sad though.

Uh, heard a few singles from them I think.
User avatar #121226 to #121225 - cognosceteipsum (07/09/2014) [-]
"I want to forget who I am swallow my autobiography" or something.. maybe not that, excuse me if so.

I see. Well, they reminded me with the singing a bit. They often sing very cheery music about science.. and I like both being happy AND science! :| You ought to listen to their albmu "Here Comes Science". Or Flood. Flood is amazing.

Too bad that you don't like Metal, because I know some absolutely great songs to listen to when you're pissed off to no end. Sure, your parents would probably flip if they heard how he sings and that there's a random "Heil!" in the middle of the song, but it would be worth it. It's catharthic as Hell.

"I want to forget who I am, I want to fuck and forget who I am"

Ya they made a song called roygbiv right? I remember listening to that when looking for roygbiv by Boards Of Canada boards of canada - roygbiv

It's probably some cheesy shit though. And I don't need mad music. I rarely get mad where I need to resort to music, the emotion comes and goes for me. However if I did get mad and needed music I'd probably listen to some no wave. Swans- Big Strong Boss Like this.
User avatar #121228 to #121227 - cognosceteipsum (07/09/2014) [-]

Yeah, they did. That song is nice. About the visible colour spectrum. 300-700 nanometers something

You say that the music is cheesy shit (which is an useless label).... yet... you don't think "I want to forget who I am, I want to fuck and forget who I am" isn't cheesy?... Wat
And the Boards of Canada song.. isn't cheesy... but a song about the horrors of the world wars is?... waaaaaat
User avatar #121231 to #121228 - shibe (07/09/2014) [-]
I like a bit of cheesy music I must admit.

But singing about science and shit.... A bit too much for me.

BATS - Higgs Boson Particle I guess I just find it cheesy because I think of that music my teachers show me with that cheesy g-funk beat and has some white dude rapping about atoms or something lol
User avatar #121232 to #121231 - cognosceteipsum (07/09/2014) [-]

The rest are at melodysheeps channell. Actually quite catchy, I think you'll find that these will stick with you a while in your head.

Oh yeah.. that shit's kinda.. embarassing, even I'll admit. But autotuning scientists.. that's like taking the best out of two worlds. He did it really well, too. At least most times. There was also this CERN rap which was made from with the people at CERN which is amazing, at least, to me. When you understand what the Hell they're saying, it's even more amazing.
User avatar #121233 to #121232 - shibe (07/09/2014) [-]
that melodysheep stuff is a bit no for me...

It probably is the autotuned spoken word aspect of it. Like don't autotune that, it just sounds bad. It doesn't make it any more musical, it just makes it annoying.

He takes words people have said, and autotunes them. I think he does this to give the words an aspect of musicality. But I was saying it would sound a lot better without the autotune, and it wont make it any less musical. Using autotune on just spoken words is annoying.

Star Wars - Binary Sunset (Composed by John Williams)

Do specific movie soundtrack songs count?

This was one of my all-time favorite tracks in all of the films, but I never knew what the name of it was until now. To make matters worse, I hadn't seen any of the Star Wars movies in years, so that only made it more difficult to look for. All I could remember was that I had first heard it at the end of a scene where Luke Skywalker stands and watches two suns setting while on his home planet.

So, I literally typed in "star wars song that plays while luke looks at the suns" and actually got the name of it.

Google may be slowly enslaving the human race, but they have a damn fine search engine, I tell you hwat.

Turns out Anthrax's drummer and bassist are friends with Lady Gaga and Scott Ian wants her to cover one of their songs. As a fan of both artists, I kind of want this to happen.
User avatar #121112 to #121103 - ljxjlos ONLINE (07/08/2014) [-]
I think I saw her wearing Anthrax-merch, too, so it isn´t an impossibility...

I just wonder if I´d like it more if she actually did a thrash-styled cover or if she just covered it her own way...can´t really decide on that.
#121113 to #121112 - anonymoose (07/08/2014) [-]
She's also been seen with a Megadeth shirt before. Although I can't see Dave Mustaine liking her.
User avatar #121114 to #121113 - ljxjlos ONLINE (07/08/2014) [-]
Ah, okay, I thought I saw her in that. Thanks.
Yeah, I know that, too...not too hyped about it, tho, because I really don´t like Megadeth too much.
Gaga covering Anthrax, tho, would be neat. Or the other way round. Imagine Anthrax doing Pokerface or something like that.

User avatar #121134 to #121100 - kaisakuenkou (07/09/2014) [-]
S/T>Cosmic Egg>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>New Crown, incredibly repetitive, to the point where he even reuses the same ryhmes in different songs and nothing is interesting. But it's only 3/7 Wolfmother, so whatevs

totally agree. But i still liked New Crown. I just can't get enough of their music, it's exactly what i've been looking for.
