+good use of contours to describe form
+color shows a clear and interesting abstracted value scale
+thumbnail sketch, I like how you're planning

-don't be passive about your work
-could push the abstraction more
-static composition, try bigger poses and not just straight ahead references, background could use some work
-upper torso becomes confusing. work from realistic references and abstract from there. to me, it looks like you're making up everything.
-no conflict, merely an observation (this however goes with the above statement of a boring composition)

I suggest you take a look at the work of max ernst, ernst ludwig kirchner, emil nolde, willem de kooning, and egon schiele

Cool, its pretty therapeutic to reflect emotion onto a painting. What i think would be awesome with one of these (if i'm not out of line for suggesting you do anything to your art) is if you add a much more detailed (dark forest, abandoned park or something) background and keep the simplistic tree and swing. Tree and swings simplicity kind of reflects the girls innocence and a detailed background would symbolize a cruel world or something along those lines. Just a suggestion, its nice the way it is anyway.

Though I can only guess that it's part anime style, the enlarged eyes and mouth really makes the head/chin look too small. The neck is too long and make the pupils bigger and not as narrow while also making the eyes even looking.

When you exaggerate features, you overemphasize certain people's characteristics but you still make it recognizable to people. You're not doing that in your drawing, the only way people would ever guess that that's Chica is the bib and name above it.
You're trying to redesign Chica in a way that different but still your own, and you need to first layout what a humanoid Chica would look like; hair style, face shape, types of clothing. People have already made numerous human-Chica's before but I'm sure you'll come up with one better.
Also, anime style mixed with caricatures sounds like it won't work. I'd suggest you pick one or the other.

I don't think they were going for caricature, I think they were going for a monster type image with large eyes, long necks, long arms, etc. Something to give a creepier image, not a mocking one.

What ohmy said, learn anatomy and proportions before trying to go off to your own style. Doing what you're doing right now will just leave you with bad habits and mistakes.

Exaggerations and style are also learned better after anatomy and all that shit. That way you have more of a base in what you're trying to do and you have more chances to experiment with it.

You should really fix the skin coloring. The laugh lines are too dark in comparison to the rest of the face and shadows. I agree with a lot of what Kazork said. Copying someone else's style will only bring you to a flimsy imitation of that person you're trying to copy. Yes you'll get some of his/her correct drawing habits but you'll also get his/her bad ones too. (For example, in high school I used to draw anime and all of my drawing skills were mostly limited to anime styles because I hadn't copied anything else at the time)

That being said imagination is often based on what you've seen and experienced before so I wouldn't say don't copy other people. Master studies are all about copying others to experience how that person drew and maybe including that in your work flow. But also be sure to draw stuff from real life too.

As far as what you should pay the most attention to, I wouldn't be able to tell you without seeing one of your drawings.

Really for a beginner there's nothing wrong with your form at all. It has really nice shape juice. I'd honestly recommend start drawing real people. Your colors are a bit wonky though. Kind of flat, one dimensional, and all over the place, but it fits with the style you're currently in. But I'd say the biggest problem you have is shading. There are highlights in your picture but that's about it. Try drawing some still life in graphite. I think that would really help you start to see shadows better~

copying other people's stuff , as well as copying photos, will not help you learn to draw. sure, you might become a good copier, but who wants that? copying another artist's style is a-ok, so long as you apply it to an original subject. either drawing from imagination or drawing from life will help you. drawing from life will give you the quickest results though. I myself learned to draw and paint mostly by my imagination.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'different' lol.

I've always done my dragons with exaggerated digitigrade legs because I like the mix of reptilian and mammilian to it. I kind of imagine dragons as having cat-like mannerisms in a way.

For some reason I've always detailed the bottoms of the feet. Dunno, it just feels weird not doing them.

She looks kinda patchy because shes supposed to be an 'adolescent' earth dragon. Her bark skin is infected with the mistletoe parasitic vine, and shes holding a part of it over her head like in the Christmas tradition of kissing under mistletoe. What do you guys think?

I made this poem mayne I think it's art.

Star crossed she said,
Fools Fortune she called,
Days go by,
And these words,
They litter my mind.
An infestation worst,
Than,
That known,
To mankind,
It's not love that I ask,
But rather a chance,
A chance so that love,
In time,
It may Grow,
I want to show,
I'm not just some guy,
That you just happen,
To have,
Just met online,
Time is of the essence,
For you and I,
We have many-a-months,
For this friendship to thrive,
Sometimes I shiver when you reply,
Isn't that weird?,
Yea, it's probably fear,
The thing I belive,
Is that,
We can create,
Something more beautiful,
Than your current date,
Something that lasts,
And ends up with cake,
A ring on your finger,
Passions that linger,
Fire that burns without needing tinder,
Nothing to lose,
But a whole lot to gain,
I ain't that bad,
I ain't quite the same,
just give me that chance,
and I will be bae.
