I've heard about it in passing but it has about as many people watching it as Karneval and Zettai Bouei Leviathan (both of which I happen to be watching). Is it any good? The description didn't sell me enough to give it a fair shake.

Oh yea, judging it by the synopsis isn't at all being fair to it. It leaves a lot out. I'd give it the first episode, and if there's nothing that catches your attention you probably wouldn't like it.

But given my low expectations of it at first, I would say its surprisingly good.

It's a bit complicated to explain, but Arata is part of a clan whose women are born with a special power, and because of that are chosen to be the "Princess" of the Kingdom it's set in. But, since there are currently no women of suitable age in this clan, Arata must disguise himself as a woman until a suitable successor can be found. And during this, the Princess is attacked and he is framed. There's a lot more to it than that, but saying more would just be spoilers.

They're heavy reads, but you go a lot more in-depth with the characters and you get to see the better points of the currently established ones.
If I remember correctly, Season 2 of the anime drops off around Volume 13, maybe a little past that.

Conceptually it's good, and the characters aren't the stereotypical archetypes, but getting over the MC is a bit of a hassle. It has similarities to SAO, in that it's based in the same world ( hinted at ) and is based around a game, but otherwise they aren't very similar.

If you're into cool fights and neat characters, I'd recommend it, but if you like reliable MCs then look elsewhere.

It does have a couple of interesting arcs. I was reading the LNs, but I'm pretty sure the full anime passes where I was, so I can't speak for the whole thing.

And the thing is, the author has the MC trying to display positive traits, but it more often than not just ends up being pitiful. As you said, it's hard to take him seriously, and when you're trying to make something 'serious', that causes problems when you can't take the center of everything seriously.

Otherwise, the only thing I could see him being is an all-rounder type Titan. There seems to be a whole lot more to this Titan power, especially Eren's. I would say Reiner and the other guy ( forget his name ) are specialized Titans, who are only strong in one aspect, while Annie is a close combat type. Eren hasn't really 'trained' with his Titan form, so his possibilities are a bit of a mystery.

That's pretty much the series. It's great, would highly recommend.

Don't let that deceive you though, it isn't about a guy living in a girls body, and vice versa. Hence, "Seven Witches". I can't really explain more without spoiling, but yea. It's really enjoyable. I'd also recommend Aiki, but that one doesn't update regularly and is really only funny at certain times.
