killerliquid (04/20/2013) [-] Well, I just realized that serious anime are the ones that get me engrossed in the show. I should've realized it earlier since it fits my serious personality. I just finished the second episode of Red Data Girl and so far it's been good. The first episode had slow pacing that I did not like or hate but it was only the first episode so I had to keep watching. The second episode had a bit of a weird pacing at first but when it settled in the setting of Tokyo, it told the next part of the story pretty nicely imo.

I just attended an "Anime Nights" festival which took place in an old cinema theater. I though I could share my experience. We watched 5 movies:
1. Fullmetal Alchemist: Milos no Seinaru Hoshi - I'd gave it a 3/10. The beginning seemed really promising, but in the end it turned out to be another shitty movie with a lot of "emotional" conversations and ideas like "I'm gonna destroy the world and create a new one".
2. Berserk Ougon Jidaihen I: Haou no Tamago. - As a hardcore Berserk fan I already told a lot of times, these movies are a TOTAL disappointment. A lot of skipped places from the manga, the action is much worse than that in the TV series, basically if you haven't read the manga, it's really hard my know what's going on. The art of the movie is shit as well. I am so disappointed that all we got after 15 years are these shitty movies. Gave it a 4/10. Not to mention the audience was a bunch of idiots who were whispering gay jokes to each other almost throughout the whole movie, everything started when Griffith said "I want you" to Guts...shit went crazy, never expected people to have such a retarded reaction.
Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo - We missed the beginning of the movie, so it was quite difficult to understand what's going on. Still this movie wasn't my taste and it didn't leave a good impression. Maybe I'm just too much of an amateur to understand such a movie. Gave it 4/10
Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki - This was the BEST movie from all movies watched in that event. Even though the beginning was really really weird, it turned out to be a breath taking movie which glued everyone to the screen. I always though I wouldn't like Slice of Life stuff, but I just loved this one. 10/10. MUST WATCH!
Mardock Scramble: The First Compression - Biggest pile of shit ever made. The only good thing about this movie was the art, but everything else was horrible. It's impossible to understand what's going on and the movie is just stupid, can't even describe it. 1/10

The beginning is very important, especially if you entered when they were already away from her home, as that's what sets up the rest of it.
