Nutrition should consist of meals every 2-3 hours. Complex carbs from morning to afternoon, after which healthy fats (unsaturated,monosaturated,polisaturated). Every meal should have one source of protein (so either proteins and carbs or proteins and fats; never carbs and fats). Drink 3-4 liters of water a day.

Muscle/Fat you physically CAN'T gain muscle and reduce bodyfat, becase:
to gain muscle mass you must eat a MAXIMUM of 500 calories above your maintenance level;
to burn fat you need to eat a MAXIMUM of 500 calories less than your maintenance level.
I say maximum, because past those limits is either starvation or too much fat gain.

Conclusion as you can see it doesn't take a "gym rat" to have a great looking physique. Only perseverance and a planned out diet. Good luck and hope this information helps you my fellow FJ-ers.

Food intake...... Look at a picture of you great grand parents, bet they are thin. Otherwise you are a huge evolutionary step in just three generations. nope, you just have no real concept of what you eat. Ill repeat, you have no real concept of what you eat if you believe that. I'm 16 years old, 5'10 and 140 pounds. Last year, I was about 5'4 and 150 pounds. I lost about the equivalent of 20 pounds or so, and I did nothing to make it happen. To this day, I lead a somewhat inactive lifestyle, eat like shit, stay on the computer all night, and aside from the sports I play, I rarely do anything to keep my weight down. So it is in my genes, I guess ._.

Fuck those people, they piss me off. I never used genes as an excuse. it's not hard to lose weight when you've got a lot of excess fat. I lost 40 pounds within a year because I got off my ass and stopped eating anything that looked good

when i was younger i had a lot of skinny friends and i always said stuff like "oh you're so lucky your metabolism is so high" and recently i've realized i wasn't fat because of genetics or anything like that, i was fat because i was a lazy fuck who sat at home and watched tv all day

The National Guard wants to emaciate me. Im 6'6" and 310 pounds. They want me to weigh 230... Yeah. That sounds totally reasonable...

Now that's not saying that I couldn't lose some weight but 80 pounds? How about no.

At 310 that's a very simple goal when you look at the big picture. The first 20-40 pounds will shed off you in like 2-4 months if you eat right and exercise. The next 40 pounds will be more difficult but definitely doable.

5'10'' 215lbs. I work out about 4 times a week at the gym and have volleyball everyday after school, then occasionally on Saturdays. I eat healthily, stay away from junk food and soda. I still cant seem to lose the weight.

This is not the case because I am lazy and overweight but my dad gets up at 4 every morning to exercise, eats healthily and is still overweight. My heart goes out to him at least.
