HURRRRR Einstien was actually a superb student who taught himself calculus when he was 14
User avatar #83 to #80 - sosetila (04/17/2012) [-]
You cant argue with stupid people anon, trucker Joe will always believe Einstein was stupid.
#78 - bluematterman (04/17/2012) [-]
Contrary to popular belief, Einstein was a fantastic student and a brilliant person throughout his life. His only fault was being a bit of a loose cannon and having a hard time appealing to his teachers. He had good grades and he was smart, he was just weird. If you're not showing signs of being a genius by an early age, you're probably not going to. Sorry, Einstein was the exception to the rule. You're probably a loser.

Actually Einstein left due to psychological issues in Germany (he was subject to bullying, not liked by teachers and etc) and studied very well in Switzerland.

The only difference is that he could teach college classes when he was going, not some pothead who doesn't understand why math is useful.

Yes Bill Gates did and was insanely successful...one the other hand there are millions of drop outs who are unemployed or working at McDonald's. So unless you can invent the next big thing you probably should stay in school. Your chances of being a rich high school drop out are literally one in a million.
#70 to #46 - vanoreo (04/17/2012) [-]
Whenever my parents pull the "You're never going to go anywhere in life sitting on a computer drinking soda in a basement" card I always say "Look at Bill Gates. He did the same thing, and he's one of the most successful and generous people on earth." And they ignore me!
#97 to #70 - N. Korean citizen (04/17/2012) [-]
probably b/c Bill Gates had a great idea and was able to make it work, and I'm betting you don't. Most dropout end up unemployed. Bill Gates is the very very rare exception.
#116 to #97 - N. Korean citizen (04/17/2012) [-]
Most college graduates with degrees end up unemployed or working at your local fast foot joint or supermarket. Rough times man, rough times.

True, but ideas come in the strangest of places (plus I plan on graduating from high school and moving on to college)

Why do people point at someone who didn't graduate high school but was still successful and imply they'll be the same way?

Sure, he managed to do it, but he's one case out of maybe 70,000 country-wide. The vast majority doesn't make it.

I've also heard it from Cracked.com, and even though they're a comedy site, they do a very good job of giving you their sources, and actually researching the topics.
