Fallout 3
Thinking of going guns but I heard they drop in power very early.
Is this true?

It doesn't really matter, you should go with what suits you best.
I prefer Small guns over Energy weapons and Big guns.

Flamethrowers, Missile/rocket launchers, Fat Man, Miniguns, probably big energy weapons too.
They have costy ammo and low accuracy but the best firepower.

Also, they aren't very accessible early on, but when you find them, you'll wreck shit.
Missle launchers, flamethrowers, and LMGs I think are all of them.
It does, really.
Everything else pales in comparison to power fists and similar weapons, why bother with others?
So long as your skill and stats are up for it, all weapons are pretty much equal in terms of power. However, there is a gap between some of the firearms that might cause some grief at times.

Anyone on this board that plays Dark Souls with characters around level 50; I'd like to know what build you're using/equipment and where you might be this Sunday if you decide to play Dark Souls.
Started a new character yesterday, just finished anor londo and using the balder side sword combined with great magic weapon, hoping to use the crystal magic weapon later on.
SL 47 or so, 25 dex and 23 in- Wait a sec m8 are you tryin to invade me

May contain spoilers to Brothers in arms. Okay guys, so after years since the release, I went back onto Hell's highway, got past the mission with the Pieter jumpscare, and now I don't know what to do since it just gives me a pistol, tips?
So my LoL has stopped launching and only has the league of legends logo before it gets a black border and stops responding.
Only difference since it last worked was I unplugged my computer so i don't even know.

If a solution to this is found, I would like to be notified, as I suffer from the same error.
So. Would TERA be worth starting the free trial now, or wait untill it gets fully F2P? Also, I live in Europe, are there any FJ'ers who play on the European servers, or should I just go to the Americans?
well, unless you play non-stop, there's pretty much no way you'll get to 28(max trial level) before it goes f2p in 3 days. So if you want a headstart on levels, start now.

I have 256G of raw video footage to edit, my editing computer has 240G of space left on C drive and I need to transfer the files to that computer.
This is gonna be fun -.-

Alright Dark souls question here, How good is the Golem Axe in your opinion?
i was thinking about using the core of the golem to make it but im not sure if i will, that whole windblast abillity sound pretty cool but it seems that its max atk will become 255 when fully upgraded whereas my normal great axe is now 280 atk at 10+
so is it worth it? or should i just lvl my halberd up to 10+ and make that to a golem axe?

Yeah, don't waste your great axe, use something you don't really want, just in case you don't actually like it
Its scaling is pretty crappy too, I tend to use the core to make the fists instead, because god damn those are fun

oh yeah! the dragon bone fists, forgot about those... hmmm
ill figure that out until i get to the giant blacksmith on what ill do i suppose

the Golem axe is pretty fun, it's got good damage, and don't forget the scaling on weapons
The wind attack isfun aswell, it doesn't take up that much durability so you can spam it to your heart's contempt

i stopped the download, from the looks of it, it seems to be quite repetitive questing wise. Not my thing.
Get the American version if you want to hang out with other board members. Don't know which server they're on because I play on EU.
It's a fast paced Action MMO and while the first 20 levels are very simple and straightforward, later in the game a single mistake can cause your entire group to die, so don't let the Island of Dawn fool you.
If you want to truly enjoy the game, though, choose a melee class. Ranged classes don't feel as fun as melee ones.

Since imnotkickthecat and distilledrabbit were interested I may as well, kill a couple of extra birds with one stone and post here.
DORF SCIENCE TIME!
I've been experimenting with ice in dwarf fortress. Normally, when a creature is submerged in water (even a puddle) and the water freezes, it becomes an ice wall, which takes up the full volume of the square and kills whatever was unfortunate enough to be in the water. HOWEVER, I noticed that creatures in cages do not drown in water, due to the way cages are programmed in the game. I hypothesised that if you were to put a caged creature in water and freeze it, the creature would be isolated from the water and survive. After extensive testing of both scenarios with goblinprisoners voulnteers, my theory proved to be correct. I successfully cryogenically froze a goblin. I still don't know if it works on dwarves, though. It's hard to convince someone to get into the cage. Still, I shall continue experimenting in the name of science.
I'm also curious if it's possible to do the same with obsidian. When an item's submerged in water that comes into contact with magma it turns into obsidian, encasing the item inside. Contrary to what Star Wars has shown me, encasing living things incarbonite obsidian tends to kill them. It's also a more permanent option than ice because it doesn't melt. I can finally get rid of that annoying baron that refused to die after getting his legs borken, his left arm cut off and nearly bleeding to death.

That's rather interessting. Do the cages swim away, if you freeze them in a river, after the ice melts?
I don't use a river, so I don't know. I just place them somewhere and pour a couple of buckets of water over the cage. Works like a charm.
Would be rather interessting to see if that happens.

I dunno. I don't really know how my brain works, so I can't say why the graphics don't bother me. They just don't. Try looking up a mod or texture pack. There's a lot of those and they make the game easier to navigate.

I don't even use reddit. Besides, I have to perform more extensive testing before I can post anything big. Since dorfs can get hungry and thirsty while in cages and goblins don't, it's possible for my dwarves to starve to death while frozen, since they're encased in ice and no one can bring them food.
