kidwreckless ONLINE (02/10/2013) [-] Can someone please tell me the story behind Niko in GTA IV? I've completed the game 3 times now and I still don't fully understand the story behind Niko. Throughout the game, he talks about how he's "looking for someone" and I don't understand. Then in that mission towards the end of the game, he beats the shit out of a guy and says "I'm the one who survived!" and i don't understand what he was talking about. Can someone please give me a brief explanation about this. Thank you.
P.S. I don't watch all of the cutscenes. I believe this could be a reason I don't understand.

I have played the game, even though its sitting on my hard drive right now, but you peeked my curiosity so I took a look through Wikipedia.
" Niko and his brother grew up during the difficult times of the Yugoslav Wars. His elder brother was killed in action in the war, a war in which Niko participated as an enraged youth. Niko witnessed numerous atrocities during the war,[9] including the murder and mutilation of over 50 men and women, which led to his cynical view on life, with certain degrees of anger, regret, emotional distress and severe depression. A defining moment in the war for Niko was when his army unit of fifteen young men from his village were ambushed by the enemy. Niko barely escaped the ambush, and weeks later concluded that the unit had been betrayed by one of their own soldiers, so he returned to the pit where his friends were buried. He dug up the bodies, counted them, and identified each of the corpses. From this he learned there were two other survivors: Florian Cravic and Darko Brevic. Niko vowed to search for the perpetrator, motivated not solely by revenge, but a need for closure and to move on with his own life. Niko would eventually discover that Florian Cravic, one of the two survivors of the ambush, was also residing in Liberty City."
I stopped reading there cause I didn't want to ruin the game when I get to it, but it would seem that this answers you question.

I started Sleeping Dogs and sunk 4 hours into that, and beat the BO2 campaign on veteran (disappointingly easy), as well as wrote a few pages on my research paper. Productive I guess. roliga (02/10/2013) [-] Am I the only one who has completely lost all interest in MineCraft? It seriously just does not have any appeal now that I know how everything works. It was so much more fun when there was stuff to find out, new things to explore, secret Friday updates. I never get that "Ooh what's that? What's this? How does this work?" feeling anymore. I also think the old map generator was more fun in a sense. The new one is just too predictable. It also feels like it's trying to become too much like other games by adding things you find in most games (enchanting for example). It just feels like it's not about the mining anymore, not as much about the exploration. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

I have Garry's mod, and counter strike souce, but whenever I play trouble in terrorist town, dead people don't ragdoll, they just stand straight up. It's not gamebreaking, but it's very distracting. I've verified the game cache and reset my computer and all that jazz, so it has to be something else. Does anyone have a solution?
