So I just tor- I mean't bought Scribblenaughts Unlimited... What should I do first?
www.1up.com/news/publishers-should-respect-gamers
Although the economy might not be in the thick of a recession as it once was, that doesn't mean things are going especially great for videogame publishers. Take Electronic Arts, for instance, which hasn't exactly set the world on fire with its performance as of late. The start of the next generation is an ideal opportunity to effect change that doesn't come along often, and it seems EA doesn't intend to miss it; just yesterday it revealed plans to proliferate microtransactions throughout each of its games. As EA and publishers in general attempt to do this (and try out other means for generating additional revenue), I hope they don't forget to treat gamers with respect.
This current generation of consoles has seen the onset of numerous new money-making tactics. While expansion packs had been offered in the past, downloadable content became the norm for nearly every game, delivering everything from horse armor to new characters, maps, and more. Online passes have attempted to fight used games sales, encouraging gamers to buy new copies of their games or, failing that, forcing them to pay money directly to the publisher for access to certain (often multiplayer) content. Always-online connections, allegedly intended to enable new features but with the obvious benefit of trying to ward off piracy, spread from games where its use was implicit to those where its use is a detriment more than anything else.
The next generation will bring with it consoles that are more open to alternative business models and give publishers an opportunity to reprogram the way gamers think about buying games (much in the same way they have over the past seven or eight years). What that means is we can expect to see the way games are delivered to us, and the way we're asked to pay for their content, to change.

The thing is, most Publishers don't respect gamers. Only very few gaming publishers actually think something would be fair for a gamer where most think for something that will gouge more money out of gamers.
The primary issue is that there is no real in stopping them. Millions complain about what EA has done to the gaming audience and what they do to their developers. They have only gotten worse. They aren't the only ones however, Activision is also a culprit in this sort of act. Zenimax (Bethesda), Blizzard (under Activision) and many others all do things that would treat gamers unfairly.
We can boycott them but that won't work, that will only hurt the developers and the publishers wouldn't shed a tear. Boycotting would only hurt us and the devs.
We can continue to complain which will fall on deaf ears.
Or we can resort to pirating past their shitty DRM's where paying customers get hurt like in the SimCity case.
Honestly, we will have to deal with what they are giving us, the market is pushing towards the micro-transactions and DLC payment format. Its how publishers will make a lot of money and they know that. The only thing we can really look forward to is that some companies will over look their fat paycheck and attempt to give us affordable games without attempting to gouge the market.

For the league players.

ARAM is now being made into an official game mode. It is getting a new map with better visuals but keeping somewhat the same to the old layout, some of the structures look closer together but it isn't finished yet. This is not even released in beta yet and won't for a few more patches to come. Yay for less queue dodging faggots!

Forgot to add something lol.
The game types have a min cap, so if you win very quickly you don't get shafted. That min cap will probably be less than classic so that you can't farm ARAMs for easy IP rather than playing classic.

Good game that is. Not worth the price tbh though. I just waited for the sale.

I'm not going to spoil it I'm just saying i didn't like
oh...you mean internet lag. in that case i have no idea
yup. internet lag makes more sense though, not quite sure why i assumed it was framerate
It's because Dark Souls uses a global peer-to-peer network system.
And not just when you're fighting other people. Have you ever gotten a random Estus Flask charge? It's because another player kindled the last bonefire you rested at.

the estust thing... glitch or something implemented ingame?
It's a part of the game, there are other features like that as well.
Like the transparent images of people who dies, is in fact another player who died there.
Same with the dark humanoid figures in the Depths and Crystal Caves, those are players who got cursed.

i knew those others... just wondered about the estusk thingy
if console, because console
if PC, are you using dsfix? If you are using dsfix, have you turned AA or whatever it is off? if you're not using dsfix, get it

I thought that Dark Souls had a shitty port to the PC from the console.
well no shit you can't have a game like dark souls have a good control scheme, just plug in a USB controller, they patched all the other important stuff. PC version is a thousand times superior.
i heard its like this:
PC-like no lag, but hackers everywhere
PS3-fucking lag-a-palooza, barely any hackers
Xbox- a mix
i have xbox, im just tired of getting lag backstabbed

Honestly I don't know where you get your facts. From personal experience and looking online PC has just as many hackers if not more than the other consoles. Further more the server lag is in conjunction with your internet provider and router so the Xbox would have just as good internet as the PC. And finally FPS drops only get affected during high graphical intensity (i.e. a lot of monsters on the screen on one time) which PC gets affected as well as the PS3.
I never said they were facts. I may have implied it but as you can see below, this is from MY personal experience.
I have never had server lag on the PC but I've had way too much on sexbox
I only ever got FPS drops in blighttown and some minor ones in anorr londo in the console version, however I got NONE in the PC version.

ummm sorry PC elitist i didn't waste money on it. im not one of the guys that melts and cries because his game isnt running at 556 fps and doesnt have the cleanest graphics ever. i only spent 20 dollars on it. i barely ever run into hackers on xbox, ive seen this game on ps3, its fucking horrendous with lag and glitches.
PC has no lag but because it is PC hacking is inevitable.

What's with that needless hostility, do you need to make an argument out of everything?
"im not one of the guys that melts and cries because his game isnt running at 556 fps and doesnt have the cleanest graphics ever." So. Would you rather spend 20 bucks for an inferior version or 5 bucks on a sale for the PC version which is clearly graphically superior. Answer me that.
"because it is PC hacking is inevitable."
Xbox has more hackers. Either I'm unlucky or you're lucky.

im not trying to get hostile but i just hate elitists that say you wasted your money, i didnt waste it. and how is that making an argument out of everything? that was one. idk why i dont run into that many hackers but i do run into lag, bot all the time, but a good amount of the time.
i only got it on xbox because of friends, i know PC is far superior
fuck it im sorry for coming off hostile, thanks for your opinions and facts on this matter. have a nice day.,

do you not want it to turn into lolipop rainbow land?
exactly, i just ended the argument because i got invited to play darksouls and i like didnt feel like typing anymore.
ok, have a nice day until we continue....when we do, fuck you. but for now i love you.
There aren't very many hackers on Xbox, and there are tons on PC from what I've seen.
Most likely you're unlucky. I've played the Xbox for about a month and have encountered like 1. And I know certain people from this board mod the PC version when they PvP or Coop, though it's usually harmless. And at your other comment, I've never seen DS for $5 on PC, lowest I saw it was $15 on Amazon a while back. I'd rather spend $200 on a console rather than $800 on a PC, and then have it obsolete in 3 years. Graphics don't mean shit. And contradiction is right, you're being an elitist.
That's the thing. Graphics DO mean shit. If gaming is your hobby, money shouldn't really matter when it comes to getting a new/upgrading your PC. If you want to have an inferior experience, go ahead. But I like to look in my options menu to see "High High High Max 100% On Yes High Max"
If gaming is your hobby, you should play for the gameplay experience, not the graphics. And if you say that graphics are part of the art, I'll agree with you. But the art shouldn't be photo realism. It should be like some indie games, unique. Which current gen can run perfectly fine. And if money shouldn't mean anything if it is your hobby, than why care about spending the extra $10 for a console disc?

Graphics are PART of the gameplay experience, a big part of it.
Indie games don't count. But there are some beautiful fucking games that I feel wouldn't be as glorious to play if it wasn't for the amazing visuals, like planetside 2 or dota 2 or even Tribes. It helps you enjoy the game much more easierer.

Never played Planetside 2, but Dota 2 doesn't exactly have graphics that need a stellar rig to run, considering my piece of shit laptop can run it on High or whatever it was. Tribes graphics are nice, but I personally would find the game fine with simpler graphics, like that on the PS2 even. I guess it all comes down to opinion really. Many people on the board would argue that story is just as important (if not more important) as gameplay, where as I don't care for a game with good a story. If it has it as well as good gameplay, all play it and appreciate it, but to me it's all about gameplay for the most part.
Um, what? If everything was a big black square, I don't see how it would be playable, I wouldn't know what the fuck is going on. If it had NES graphics, or previous, yes it would be a good game still. But not the perfect game. Because graphics are still a part of it, despite a small part in my mind. Take music for instance. A lot of people don't like rap because they find the beats to simple and boring. Does that mean it is bad? Not to me, because I care more about the lyrics than the beat. But if a song used an interesting beat and the rapper had nice lyrics and delivery, than I would like it more than the other song. Same with video games, I care more about the gameplay than the graphics, but if I was handed a game with nice graphics and great gameplay, I would like it more than the game with only great gameplay
Still bugs the hell out of me that Square still hasn't remade Final Fantasy 6, 4 got a whole bunch of remakes, the DS one and the PSP version, FF1 and 2 got them, isn't 6 the most popular one? Square must know that there is a huge demand for a remake of 6.
The GBA ones had an extra dungeon if I remember correctly. But after beating 6 again the last thing I wanted to do was do an insanely long dungeon. I wouldn't mind a new game of 6 though. That was the best Final Fantasy I have every played.
If you're talking about American III-Japanese 6, then yes they did a remake, but as far as I know it only has 1 extra dungeon and Gilgamesh. It was for the Gba and it's super worth the cash. I noticed that you didn't mention VII, which is very popular and it got a HD remake. If you don't have it go to squares website and download it. It only cost 9.99 American. sorry for bad grammar, but i am literally downloading the hd remake because I just found out about it, and I'm super duper excited.
I got the high resolution version of FF7 for PC, which honestly is overrated, I did however find that they ported the PS1 release of FF6 and 5 to PSP, so I'll take that I suppose, I would just get the GBA port, but the music quality suffers so much.
Fun fact about the ps1 ff6, you can buy a grreatest hits copy off of square's website for around 20 bucks including shipping. I noticed it when I bought chrono cross. Weird thing though, it says square enix instead of squaresoft on it. and about ffvii hd, I figure it's better to buy a remastered copy for 12 bucks instead of buying paying up to $40 for a ps1 copy that might be heavily scratched beyond repair. I just got into final fantasy like 4 months ago, and boy it's been quite the ride.
Try out Final Fantasy Dissidia 012, it's on PSP, it's a fighting game with all the main Final Fantasy protagonists/villains
I don't have a psp. I'm going to sell my 360 so i can invest in a backwards compatible ps3, so if it's on playstation market or whatever, I'll try it because I love a good ol' fighting game. Have you played any of the tactics games? And if so, are they strong story wise?
Never played the tactics games, only ones I've played are 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and some of 10 and Dissidia
I've heard FF12 was really bad, I think the series has kinda run its course, they should mostly stick to remakes of older ones like 6 and start a new IP
Everything about that game is terrible. But yeah, they are getting all fem boy and shitty storylines. Idk if I want a 3d remake. I know they will find a way to fuck it up. I'd rather have a trial run of FF5 3d remake. FF5 was awesome and was under rated, but in order to remake those games they would have to change the battle system and it would get all yucky and messy and blegh. Too many things can go wrong. They should leave it as is.
Alot of people don't like XII, but I think it has a solid story with an awesome combat system. Im gonna go and play vii now. Have a good day/evening and I wil see what i can do about dissidia.
It would be worth looking into getting a PSP 1000, they're pretty old so they would be cheap, and you can hack them to play other games or isos that you download
I just hope it's on the PSP, I'd rather not buy a PS Vita or PS4 just for FF6, but I will if I have to
www.lolking.net/summoner/na/22399193#history is my match history, I don't really feed, but its his attitude that I hate, he bitches and complains over every little thing even after I have asked/told him multiple times to stop bitching.

So. I'm heading to bed, guys. Good night.
Seeing how I have to leave to London on monday and can't tag my laptop along, I have to find some other way to entertain myself on the flight/when I'm bored in the hotel/can't sleep because my schedule is fucked up. Therefore, I ask you to list some games for android that could kill my time. No 'angry birds'-type stuff please, something more... 'demanding' might be appreciated.
