Why are people so pissed with the Kinect being INCLUDED with the console?

Obviously you will be able to use the controller to your heart's content, but the Kinect will allow you to use it when you want to.

Plus if the Kinect is actually as powerful as they say it is, I'd want to use it as much as I could. Face and vocal recognition shit makes me excited.

Most of the comments were actually based of rumors, guessing, or straight up bullshit and none of them really disproved anything.

No, you misunderstand, it was a shit show in the sense that what they showed, was shit.
You can call them rumours all you like but the people at microsoft are being really weird about squashing them, if they weren't true they'd be straight on it saying these aren't true, but they're not, instead they kinda dance around the subject and are being really inconsistent, for example, one of them said that you wouldn't have to pay a fee for lending a game, but you'd need to pay something, umm, last time I heard, that's called a fee.
Not to mention the rest of it, they spent an age showing off sports and their video games to go along with them, then call of duty, which isn't exactly going to get anyone excited, you can say "But they're saving the good stuff for E3" but then why do this? Why did they feel this was something the world coulden't wait until E3 to see?
It was a complete and utter shit show, thumb me down all you like, it's how I feel.

The console reveal was supposed to reveal the console, while E3, the game reveal, is supposed to show the games.
And they did show of their console and a lot of great features for it, they showed it using TV however so that they wouldn't have to reveal any of their games, which they're saving for later.

The reason why Microsoft are dancing around these rumors, is because they haven't decided if they're going to do what the rumors are talking about, so without a decision they can't really confirm or deny anything.

Well alright then, but really it all could have waited until E3, it seems a lot of effort for something they could have just done at another event, but that dosn't matter much anyway, my main gripe was with the console itself.
And do they really have time to be so unsure about the console yet? They said it's being released this year, but what you said would explain why they're being weird with it, though is scares me they would even consider some of the stuff that has been said.
I mean hell, I read somewhere Microsoft had made a patent on some software that would make the kennect see how many people were in the room, and charge each person individually to see a movie, of course this doesn't mean they'd ever use that patent, but the thought is a scary one.

I guess I'll ease down on my judgement then, and wait for 3E and the consoles actual release.

Also, about the whole, it could have waited until E3 thing, I think Microsoft wanted to have their own reveal date as that would probably bring more attention to the console.

I think the reason they're unsure about the console is that they had planned to do some of the things, but are reconsidering because of the community reaction.

Let me give you an example, paying for used games, Microsoft probably thought something along the lines as: ''On Steam you can't borrow games to your friends at all, but no one calls Steam greedy, so if we let our customers borrow for a (unannounced, but probably reduced price, if they decide to do it at all.) we'll actually be less greedy than Steam and make more money off of it!''

Reveals this, community goes bat-shit insane because it's Microsoft and not Valve doing it, so they're probably reconsidering it now.

Honestly there really isnt to many good reasons to pirate

Most people try and amek a reason so it doesnt look like there doing somthing bad even if they are. they justify not wanting to spend money on it

People like the games, but not EA.
The publishers make the games, the majority of the role EA has in the development process directly results in the things people do not like about EA (ex: online passes, day one DLC, mandatory multiplayer, Sim City's always online-ness, Origin)

If I could find a legitimate way to buy EA games but send my money directly to the developers, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Right now, the next best thing is pirating the game in hopes that EA will make the logical leap that things people don't like=higher piracy instead of making playing the game harder for everyone=lower piracy

LoL is more fun. I feel DotA is for solo play only, and even then it's a matter of taste. Both are equally easy, but I enjoy almost everything in LoL more.
