The worst part is that, from the very start, you knew he was going to die, and Ryuk was going to be the one who kille him. And you still cry like a bitch because it happens.

In truth, it's a ahrd manga to find and is classed somewhat as a doujin because it was released as a limited edition annevirsary manga, it's not been officially translated so can only be found online, and there is a yaoi doujinshi by the same name which overshadows the real epilogue so much so that people don't believe it exists. However, I have it. I can sum up what happens "after" deathnote if you want? But I can't sent the file. Nor do I have a working link to the manga due to Megaupload being taken down.

I can tell you the fates of Light, L and Misa after Deathnote's official end to the 13th manga volume and the second anime season.

Light is dead, L is dead, and Misa's probably miserable

L lived- because his name was written after Wateri, Rem was already dying when she wrote L's name, therefore he only suffered a minor heart attack an in fact lived.
Because of his large amount of work put into the Deathnote, Light was honoured by the Shinigami king and granted life as a shinigami under the name Kira. Though his memories of being decayed with his human body and he in fact felt remorse over L's death.
Misa lived (though people thought she jumped off a bridge) and became a nun.

Shinigami Kira gave his life to save L, so he turned to sand. His sands were collected and he was reborn a human- Light, and is being raised by L in Wammy's house.

Yes Clannad and Angel Beats, i need to watch Kanon. People say Air but I didn't cry...it was sad but not that sad, given that the story was pretty much recycled in Clannad (I'd even go to say the characters were; Sanae and Akio look like Misuzu and Yukito)
I also cried at Black Butler, Fruits Basket, DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, YuGiOh (waking the Dragons arc and most of Marik's back story), Cardcaptor Sakura, FullMetal Alchemist, Familiar of Zero, Ouran High School host Club, Avatar, Code Geass, Deathnote, Higurashi, School Days, Toradora, Baccano!, Durarara!!, Loveless and Uta no Prince-Sama.
I generally cry at anime. Though that's not all the ones I've watched, I way overthink the psychology behind things characters do or say- take Ouran; it's a very happy anime, but it's only really happy because on the inside Tamaki was so very sad and tried his best to make sure no one else felt like he did.
