I haven't watched the US version yet, and I don't think I ever will. It would make me undeniably sad. You just can't replicate those three.

That is true. But look at what happened when we tried to do Life on Mars. Totally different and in my opinion not as good.

I might try and watch it, but all the time I will be sitting there thinking that I could easily just watch the UK version.

Too true. Our Top Gear sucks ASS compared to the original. I've got the series set up on dvr and Netflix. Kicks ass no matter when and where I watch it.

your top gear is the best, and i love it. but, i have to say i actually like Richard Hammond (no homo). james may is the guy i find boring. and jeremy clarkson is amazing.

Ahhh I think I Like may because he is the Idealization of the classic britfat "Interesting but sometimes boring Uncle". in his shows on his own like "James Mays man lab" or "James Mays 20th century" are where he is best because you can see his sense of humour there and also how intelligent he is, but in top gear its very overshadowed by Clarksons Dry and sometimes dark humour.

Plus it always makes me giggle when he shouts at the others "CLARKSON!" "HAMMOND!"

I am an American.... and I can't argue with this. The britfat Top Gear is amazing, although the American version does have some amusing moments.

Yeah, The format of the show definitely provides some excellent comedy moments for all regions, But your hosts have a little too much of an American T.V sense of humour if you understand me?

Our top gear is only a year old and no we will never be as good as the original the show gets better every episode.

I'd like to see the U.S version grow the same way the britfat one has.
If you watch some of the earlier episodes it becomes apparent how our version is only loosely based on cars now and its much more of an entertainment show rather than a review show
