Mind you, that is your opinion, and not a shared one. When you see a re-run of your favorite TV show on do you get angry that its a, "Repost,"? Because I certainly don't. When you play through the campaign of your favorite game, do you complain that all the levels are, "Reposts,"? I certainly don't, and thats because although seeing/doing the same thing twice makes it LESS fun, it doesn't necessarily kill ALL the fun. Yes, I will admit some jokes are made to be told once, but still.

Television is not comparable to funnyjunk or a video game. Both of the afore mentioned genres are entertainment bases that rely on core aspects of human nature to even from common plots. Archetypes, as these common bases are called, are things that humans can innately understand. Such aspects such as characters, scenes, even color schemes rely on archetypal elements. Many things use heros, villians, the damsel in distress, water representing rebirth/new life/new beginnings. Every show and video game relies on some sort of archetype to connect it to a wide audience and its virtually impossible to make a good story without a single archetype. Yes, yes tl;dr I know.
My point: everything with a plot is going to have repeated aspects, they are all reposts at the instant of creation. Items on this website are not required to have a plot, so every post can be unique. There is a reason why the site should avoid reposts, it allows a greater magnitude of humorous content to be collected

I wasn't talking about plots or charecters, I was talking about specific episodes or levels. Things you know you have seen before word for word. They are HIGHLY comparable, as in seeing a youtube video twice, either on funnyjunk or youtube.

funnyjunk is not youtube. Think of it this way, if someone posted some video say the asdf i like trains song on youtube, and 6 people see it, then one of them reupload it because its not copyrighted or anything and it becomes a featured video and an internet sensation then how is that fair to its original creator that put it work to make it the art that it is. Anything that is created is artwork and its not right to steal someone's artwork. I don't like people that post things from 9gag or reddit, but I deal with that because the site allows for it. It is a collection of content. There's no need for the same thing to be in more than one location in the same establishment.
Yes reruns and replaying a story mode are going to be less fun but that's out of choice. I don't want to see the same thing over and over until I know it verbatim, so I don't watch it. And I can't bear to watch the same cutscene in harry potter when I die before I hit a save book, but its a necessary evil; but, here we have the ability to eliminate that evil, we can peacefully quell accidental reposting and violently silence blatant reposters.
A specific item is supposed to exist as content once. It does not need to be reposted so it can be seen again. If someone wants to see it they have to peruse the site in order to find it. In doing so, they will find only content that was deemed funny by the FJ community and will be able to bypass the subpar and worthless things that have been posted
