Hey everybody. I'm back with another JoJo's fact comp. So obviously I'm gonna start off with some Street Figher.
It's speculated that Necalli is a reference to the Pillar Men in Battle Tendency. In particular, Santana and Kars (Santana's feral nature, stutter, abilities, kars's long hair and build, etc)
His relation to Kars is even more apparent, when in V-trigger becoming similar in appearance to Ultimate Life Form Kars
It's a well known fact that Stands in JoJo's are references to western songs and bands. Well oddly, most Stands in Jorge Joestar aren't referencing songs, but movie titles.
One of the earlier ideas for JoJo is that Speedwagon was supposed to be the main character. He (and subsequently his ancestors) would've gone thoughout the ages meeting the various Joestar family members.
Part of me kind of wishes Araki had gone through with this idea.
Scan is a truly unique Stand. Where as most Stands belong to people and animals, Scan is the only Stand to belong to an ABILITY, the Spin and not to one singular person. This could mean that if one learns the Spin, you can use Scan.
This technically means that Johnny has two Stands: Scan and his own personal Stand, Tusk.
Contrary to popular belief, Araki confirmed that SBR is NOT a continuation of the first 6 JoJo parts.
SBR and JoJolion are in a different universe, with different characters, stands rules, etc.
To go back to Jorge Joestar and Santana for a bit (or San Vieto or whatever) according to the novel, Santana was actually ******* bonkers and was being kept under Kar's control using the Pillar Man equivalent of a flesh bud.
If you remember back to an earlier fact comp, I mentioned that Flesh Buds, while keeping people under your control, does greatly diminish ones fighting prowess (hence why Polnareff and Kakyoin lost so easily)
Imagine how much more different the fight between Joseph and Santana would've been without it.
Araki actually apologized for killing off many beloved characters after an interviewer told him how sad he was when Iggy died.
According to Over Heaven (a Stardust Crusaders tie in book) DIO entertained the idea of a truce between him and the Crusaders (out of fear of Jotaro) but decided against it for 2 reasons:
1- He figured Jotaro and Joseph would still try to kill him because of his inherent evil nature and the fact that he took Jonathon's body
2-Even if he wanted to cure Holly, he didn't know how.
DIO OVER HEAVEN from the EoH video game dies in the exact same manner as in Part 3. The exact same way, by the exact same stand and the exact same JoJo.
This is interesting to note for DIO's character as it shows that no matter how powerful DIO he can and/or will become his hubris will always, ALWAYS be his downfall.
