My Favorite Survival Meal!

Yep, he's totally badass.
Except he's a kid with a Boy Scout survival kit compared to this master of the outdoors.
No camera crew (obviously).
Goes into the wild with no contact to the outside world (until ready to be removed from the environment).
Uses what he would be carrying at the time, like an average person (doesn't bring a knife the size of his arm, a gun, a lamp, shelter, etc.).
I've seen this guy survive in the harshest of environments and do the most creative things to stay alive and live, all while filming himself.

the fact is doing these kind of survival shows is just greulling, and few would want to live they the way they do in their shows for any extended period of time. thats why in bear grylls he shows you how to find a way back to civilisation. Strouds' series was what, 23 episodes long before he quit? along with some other specials on tv. not hating on him, but why do people hate on bear grylls because he takes a home comfort on these trips if hes offered them? hes ex fucking SAS. he would kick the pure shit out of 99% of the stupid twats who hate on him, and the fact is if he was stuck in the wild on his own he would survive, he has done so behind enemy lines. the rest of us would probably be fucked, simple as.

Yeah, power to Grylls but when it comes to an unplanned accident that leaves you stranded, Les would be more fit. In my opinion, of course. The reason there were so few episodes, if 28 is few, is because he went to the most extreme places and stranded himself there, surviving to the best of his abilities. There are only so many extreme locales and if he would continue it, he would go to less exotic/threatening areas, at which point it would just be for the money. Of course, Les didn't do Survivorman for free, but he packed in a shit load of helpful information into each episode.
